Blackest Of The Black West Coast Tour Dates
Glenn Danzig announced that a special 2006 west coast-only edition of the "Blackest of the Black" tour will kick off on November 17 in Seattle, WA. Headliner Danzig - Glenn Danzig/vocals, former Samhaim bandmate Steve Zing on bass, and Type O Negative's Johnny Kelly/drums and Kenny Hickey/guitar - will be joined by Lacuna Coil, The Haunted, Belphegor, and Asesino.
This is the third year of Danzig's highly successful "Blackest of the Black" tour. The festival was organized by Danzig and debuted in the summer of 2003 with Danzig, Superjoint Ritual, Opeth, Nile, Lacuna Coil and Behemoth on the bill. The 2005 edition featured Danzig, Chimaira, Behemoth, Himsa, Mortiis (ex-Emperor), and The Agony Scene.
"'The Blackest of the Black' tour is for extreme bands that sell out venues across the country, that sell records, but don't get radio play or get on MTV," said Danzig. "It's anti the corporate crap nu-rap-metal that gets shoved down fans' throats at other concerts."
In addition to organizing and headlining the "Blackest of the Black" tour, Glenn Danzig will see the October 17 release of "Black Aria II" (evillive), the follow up to 1993's "Black Aria," which debuted at Number One on the Billboard Classical chart. Produced, written and - with a couple of exceptions - performed by Glenn, "Black Aria II" employs thundering organ, otherworldly chants, operatic lamentations, poignant strings, ominous percussion, ritualistic chimes and other mysterious sounds, to tell the story of a rebel of ancient lore - Lilith, Adam's wife before Eve.
Danzig has also released his "3 Faces of Danzig," a limited edition, fully-articulated toy figure series that highlights different eras of Glenn's career - "Misfits-version" Danzig which wears his classic skull-and-crossbones black T-shirt from the Misfits' "Walk Among Us" album cover; "Samhain-version" Danzig, covered in dripping blood ala the "Initium" LP cover, and "Danzig-version" Danzig, which is shirtless and comes complete with the trademark Danzig belt buckle and upside-down-cross medallion necklace as on the "Lucifuge" album. The figures are made of soft vinyl, stand 10-inches tall and retail for $75.00 each, and are available in stores such as Spencer Gifts, Hot Topic, comic book/specialty stores, and on the Chaser website.
Confirmed dates for the 2006 "Blackest of the Black" tour are as follows: More...

Impious Nearly Finished Recording
Straight from the keyboard of Valle Adzic (guitars): “Sorry for the lack of updates. Things have been really crazy and we just didn’t feel like we had the time to write a studio diary for this album. Anyways, here’s some news for ya!
The new album is almost done. This weekend we’ll do some last bits of recording. We’ll also have Thomas Backelin from mighty Lord Belial come over for some guest vocals on a slower and very dark track. Will be fun! The mix will be done next weekend, so expect some samples here in a few weeks.
We’ve set the title “Holy Murder Masquerade” for the new album. Some of the song titles are “The Confession”, “Bound To Bleed (For A Sacred Need)”, “T.P.S.”, “Death On Floor 44”, “Holy Murder Masquerade” and “Three Of One”.
The cover is also done. It’s awesome! Come back in a week and take a look at it.”
Dream Evil Shoot New Video
Two years after adding another epic chapter to The Book of Heavy Metal, Sweden’s DREAM EVIL return with United, a ferocious larger-than-life assault that will leave anyone proudly screaming for vengeance. United was recorded at the famed Studio Fredman with DREAM EVIL guitarist and legendary producer Fredrik Nordstrom (Arch Enemy, Opeth, At The Gates). The album carries on with the band’s tradition of stunning melodies, captivating vocals and bombastic guitar solos, all capped off with a bittersweet ballad approach and thunderous speed outbursts.
DREAM EVIL recently completed a new video for the album’s opening track, “Fire! Battle! In Metal!,” with renowned director Patric Ullaeus (Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil). The video definitely lives up to its title, and will be posted online later this month. Rob Zombie To Host TCM Friday The 13th Special
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will join with faithful followers of cult films in an appreciation of the often misunderstood, sometimes maligned genre in the network’s newest weekly movie franchise, TCM UNDERGROUND, to be hosted by filmmaker and legendary rocker ROB ZOMBIE, it has been announced by Tom Karsch, executive vice president and general manager of TCM. The late-night showcase, which will feature off-the-wall or avant-garde movies chosen and introduced by Zombie, is set to launch Friday, Oct. 13, at 2 a.m. ET / 11 p.m. PT.

“TCM UNDERGROUND will serve as home to some of the truly visionary cult films that have been made over the past century, from stylish horror movies to offbeat black comedies,” said Karsch. “I can’t think of a better mix than having ROB ZOMBIE host classic cult films made by heroes of the genre, people like George Romero, Ed Wood and Russ Meyer. And we think Rob will be a great asset in making these classics more accessible to a new generation of film fans.”
ROB ZOMBIE has made a name for himself challenging audiences by stretching the boundaries of film, music and publishing. He recently took film to a new level with his critically acclaimed House of 1000 Corpses and its high-octane follow-up The Devil’s Rejects. "We are so excited to be going on tour with Guns N' Roses," said Bach. "I have waited for the perfect opportunity to tour North America again, and this is absolutely the greatest tour any of us could ever imagine being on. It has been over ten years since I have screamed in a lot of these arenas, and there are many places on this tour I have dreamed of playing but never have...until now - Madison Square Garden, Air Canada Center, The Palace of Auburn Hills are just some of the hallowed halls I get to rock in on this tour."
Bach's connections with Guns N' Roses is tight. The vocalist opened a number of GN'R European and U.S. Dates this past summer, and, over the course of the tour, joined Axl Rose onstage several times for a duet of "My Michelle." In September, Bach returned to Australia for two concerts - his first time there since 1993 - and also became only the second rock/metal band ever to perform in China (Deep Purple was the first) when he played the Beijing Pop Festival.
In addition to touring the world, Bach has been busy developing a television career and working on a new album. Teaming up with producer Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Judas Priest), Bach recently completed recording "Angel Down," which is due out next year and his first solo CD since 1999's "Bring 'Em Bach Alive," and first release since 2004's "Forever Wild" DVD. The singer recently split from Artemis Records and is currently considering several label offers.
Bach recently shot three episodes of the popular Canadian mockumentary TV series "Trailer Park Boys," guesting as a model railroad enthusiast. Over the summer, he starred with Ted Nugent, Jason Bonham, Scott Ian and Even Seinfeld on VH-1's number one-rated reality show, "Supergroup." On September 28, he performed "18 and Life" with contestant Hal Sparks on the season finale of Fox's "Celebrity Duets." In addition, Bach is now in his fourth season playing the role of Gil, the guitarist in Lane Kim's band on the popular CW series, "Gilmore Girls."
Sebastian Bach has also appeared on Broadway several times ("Rocky Horror Show," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Jekyll & Hyde"). He hosted the VH-1 series "Forever Wild," and he and his family were featured on VH-1's "I Married...Sebastian Bach."
