Converge Address Show Cancellations

Converge will not appear at three of their scheduled shows as a result of two separate issues. The group has provided the following explanation:

"After driving overnight to Poughkeepsie from Baltimore (and almost hitting hundreds of deer in the process...), we got word that 'Rhythmden' festival has been cancelled due to 'insurance' issues. Thanks to Subzero and On Broken Wings for getting the word out to us and other bands. We hope to be back in the Poughkeepsie NY area sometime in 2K7. While we were typing the above information, Jake received a call about a death in his immediate family. So he can attend the funeral and be home to support his family, we are canceling Philadelphia and New York City shows of the tour. The shows in Buffalo, Cleveland, Levittown, and Revere shows will go on as planned as he will be able to make those shows. Apologies to all the bands, kids, and promoters who are effected by the cancellations. We will make it up one day."

Swedish one-man black metal project ARCKANUM has parted ways with Carnal Records and is currently seeking a new label home. "I have the new album already written, titled 'Antikosmos'," stated the band's mastermind Johan "Shamaatae" Lahger. "It is, of course, in the vein of the old and new ARCKANUM sound. The album has partly written material from the unreleased 'Faunaz Samgang' album, which was supposed to be released by Necropolis Records in the late '90s. I have built up the concept around the dark gods of the Norse mythology. The layout, lyrics and images will all be in its spirit."
