Dimmu Borgir Putting Finishing Touches On Album

DIMMU BORGIR are currently putting the finishing touches to their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album with Fredrik Nordström at Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden. The album, due out early next year via Nuclear Blast, is said to be "a story based album with lyrics written accordingly". Guitarist Silenoz has issued the following studio diary entry via the band's website:
"Finally! I guess this time is as good as any to say we’re ready for mix! Although there are actually still a few bits and pieces left to do on keys, at this stage in the process we’d like to think of them as minor details. We’re all going home for a few days, to clear our heads and ears, except for Fred and Pat (Power - aka Patrik Jerksten) as they will begin to mix pretty much right away. We’ll join them again by the end of next week. We’ll then also meet up with director Patric Ullaeus and the Revolver Film Company to discuss and throw around ideas for the new video!"

This along with Behemoth and Nile's (whenever Nile get around to doing something new) is something i cannot wait for release it NOW.I personally hope its more like Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia than Death Cult Armageddon hope its at least a billion times better than the new-ish Cradle of Filth that's like a paper tiger.

PEM is a milestone in symph black...DCA almost had to be inferior and it was still very listenable...
Hellhammer and Shagrath have the weight of this album on their shoulders (for me anyway)because it was the drums and vox that lost me on DCA.
Spikey armor and corpse paint are extraneous though....
