Australian Christian black metal act Fearscape has issued the following update about writing new material:
"The process has begun. Phil and I have recently started putting together material and I have been busy penning lyrics for at least 4 new songs ( I have another 2 'on the drawing board'). Phil and I will be meeting regularly to stitch together and grind over riffs, Phil will tab this material and pass on to Pete for him to play with, re write, build on etc. We will continue the process with a number of songs at once until we are happy with the end structure and atmosphere.
"What to expect? RAGE. Dark...darker than we have ever gone before. Aggression.....more than we have ever had before. This time we will be writing from the heart and digging into the mind, no holds barred on a range of subjects we have been dwelling on and researching over the last 2 1/2 years. Will some people get upset and offended-YES. The truth hurts. Besides, a little revolution now and again is a good thing."

Michigan metallers Satyrasis have issued the following update about recruiting a drummer and recording a new album:
"Dearest Closet Sophie B. Hawkins Fans, we have some news regarding our recently vacated percussion position. Surprisingly good news, too! We'd like you to meet our new drummer. (not representative of actual likeness) Unfortunately, I'm pulling your leg.......obviously we don't really have a two-headed Muppet drumming for us. (which is a shame, because if we did, we get a record deal in a second. Not to mention the amount of cock smashing awesome it would be)
"I digress. The real reason for the blog is a two fold introduction and re-re-re-reintroduction of our new drumming tandem. Firstly, we'd like to welcome Dimitri Mitropoulos back into the band with great humility knowing full well that he should've never went anywhere in the first place. Dimitri's exploits at 8 1/2 & Dequindre are well documented in Satyralore, but if you need convincing....check out his wiki. Dimitri will be the guy you hear on next Satyrasis record and any subsequent recordings that follow. We're just glad to have him back. More...

“With preproduction complete, and having some downtime before we start the recording sessions for our fifth album in early April, Katagory V decided to step out onto the stage. It has been well over a year since the band has performed live, and with a some of the guys of the current line up being fairly new and having never performed with Katagory V on stage, Kris (Krompel, Guitars) and Bizzarro (Drums) respectively; it was high time to test the waters and see how we would fare in that environment. After being cooped up in the studio for the last 10 months writing and working on the next album, everyone was suffering from severe cabin fever. After all, Katagory V is not a studio project, but in fact a live band!" More...
