Trivium Checks In With Post Ozzfest Update

TRIVIUM have posted the following message on their official website:

"Hello Everyone!

First we would like to extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to all the souls negatively affected by Hurricane Katrina, we have friends, family and fans along the gulf coast and our thoughts are with everyone impacted. If you are able please find time to donate what you can to help the victims of this terrible tragedy.

We had a great ending to yesterdays final Ozzfest Show in West Palm Beach, we got to see alot of family, friends & fans - it was a good day - we enjoyed our time on the tour, especially playing and meeting new friends and fans, all -in- all it was quite an expericence and we are thankful for the opportunity.

We will be taking it easy for the next 3 days then its back to the road - we leave Thursday (9.8.2005) for our first ever headlining run in the UK. Joining us for the ASCENDANCY TOUR will be ALL THAT REMAINS and IT DIES TODAY. We will be playing songs off of Ember To Infeno as well as Ascedancy with a few suprises thrown in here and there, this will be a fun tour and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Emails, comments and requests - we have a ton of emails and comments that we didn't have time to answer while on tour and we aren't sure if we will be able to get to them all before we leave, but we will catch up on our reading them over the next few days, we did check out the fan art link and there is some great work being submitted, very creative.

We do appreciate those of you who take time to write or comment and show your support in so many ways - it is so cool and we appreciate it very much. We did get to meet alot of members from our message boards and myspace this summer and we got some pictures with you - which was cool and thanks to everyone who sent pictures through-out the tour to our webmaster to be posted on the sites, thats awesome. Thanks to Nick Goodjohn for sharing his pictures with us from the KERRANG! Awards Most Wanted gig in London, much appreciated.

We hope you are all safe and doing well, we will talk to you soon!!

All the best"

Iron Maiden Ringtones Now Available

Cathedral Album Release Date Pushed Back

Nuclear Blast Records has pushed back the projected North American release date of the new Cathedral album, "The Garden of Unearthly Delights," to January 2006.

The Japanese edition will be released on October 26 and will contain an as-yet-undisclosed bonus track, which will not be included on the European or USA versions. More details on the Japanese version of the CD can be found at HMV.co.jp. Audio samples of the entire album can be found at this location.

Produced by Warren Ryker (Down, Crowbar), "The Garden of Unearthly Delights" is said to be the band's "most varied effort so far." While a song like "North Berwick Witch Trials" will bring back memories of such immortal riffs 'n' groove as in "Hopkins" or "Ride", "Tree of Life And Death" simply tears everything to pieces with its ultra-heavy guitar sound and fierce vocals courtesy of Lee Dorrian. The centerpiece of it all certainly is the 27-minute-long mammoth epos "The Garden" that almost bursts with such a wealth of ideas and changes in atmosphere that other bands probably couldn't come up with on a whole album. Using every stylistic device from female vocals up to violins and embedding it all in that typical Cathedral brand of doom, "The Garden of Unearthly Delights" is a treat for every fan of the band, old and new alike.

The follow-up to 2002's The VIIth Coming, "The Garden of Unearthly Delights" will once again feature the epic artwork of long-standing Cathedral sleeve artist Dave Patchett.

Rammstein Post Audio Clip Of New Song Online

An audio clip of the new RAMMSTEIN single, "Benzin", has been posted online at Motor.de.

RAMMSTEIN have set "Rosenrot" as the title of their follow-up to to last year's "Reise Reise", tentatively due this fall. The group recently shot a video for "Benzin", which was aired live for the first time this past June.

As previously reported, the band recorded several songs during the sessions for "Reise, Reise" which were omitted from the CD's final track listing. During a recent session at a Berlin studio, RAMMSTEIN recorded several more tracks and recently mixed the combined collection of new material for the "Rosenrot" album.

Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga), "Reise Reise" (translated as "Voyage, Voyage" or "Journey, Journey") is the follow-up to "Mutter", which entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 77 back in April 2001.

KoRn To Release New Album In November

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has told MTV Italy that the group have set a November 22 release date for their new album, the group's first since the departure of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the band's split with Epic Records. Download a video file containing the nine-minute interview, which was conducted last Sunday prior to the band's appearance at MTV Italy's Coca-Cola Live event, at the KORN fan site EmaKorn.it.

KORN's as-yet-untitled new effort was mixed by Terry Date, who has previously worked with such artists as DEFTONES, PANTERA and SOULFLY, among others. Matrix (AVRIL LAVIGNE, THE MOONEY SUZUKI) and Atticus Ross (BAD RELIGION, PINK) were responsible for the production duties on the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror", with no songs from the band's sessions with Dallas Austin slated to appear on the effort. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Liar", "Politix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort", "It's Me Again", "Coming Undone", "I've Seen It All" and "Souvenir of Sadness".

KORN's last release, "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" (Immortal/Epic), featuring highlights from the first 10 years of the band's recording career, has sold around 970,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

KORN are believed to be close to inking a new record deal with EMI/Virgin. The proposed deal is said to be for two albums and a one-third interest in the band's publishing, merchandising and ticket sales as part of a new contractual model, a la Robbie Williams

Chris discusses why he decided to give up eating all animals: "We were on tour and saw a chicken truck go by with these chickens that were just bleeding … it was disgusting." John hopes that KFC CEO David Novak's money makes him comfortable in hell, and says, "Some of the most disgusting things you'll see is when corporations feed people, because they're bottom-line-minded." Iron Maiden Thanks Their Fans

Iron Maiden's manager, Ron Smallwood, has posted this message on the official Iron Maiden website:

"To the fans -

"Last Fridays final show at Hammersmith Apollo was a memorable night. With the help of many of you we raised at least £110,000 for the Clive Burr MS Trust and we will post the final number when the accounts are finalized. The band were on top form as was Clive who joined them on stage at the end of Iron Maiden. And you the audience were of course magnificent so thanks to you all! Some reviews are being posted to the Tours/Reviews section of this website.

"We would also like to thank our Killer Krew, the suppliers who helped keep costs down, Hammersmith Apollo venue and box office and especially Stuart Galbraith and Andy Copping and all the Clear Channel gang in the UK who not only promoted the gig for nothing but also gave us quite a party afterwards!! Plus our merchandisers Bravado and our Agent John Jackson at K2 who also provided their services for free.

"As we were playing songs only from the first four albums on this tour it was particularly appropriate to finish at Hammersmith where we played many times during the tours for these albums and in fact we played there 21 times in the eighties!!! It brought back a lot of great memories to the band and of course Clive.

"We all really enjoyed this Summer's Tour so thanks for turning out and making so many of the gigs so memorable. The band are taking a bit of time off before regrouping in January to start writing then recording a new studio album so hopefully we may see many of you again on tour in late 2006/early 2007.

"Until then take care of yourselves and ..... YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

"Best Wishes

"Rod Smallwood"
