Centinex Complete 'Synthetic Sin Zero' Video
Sweden's CENTINEX have posted the following update on their official web site:
"A videoclip for the track 'Synthetic Sin Zero' will soon be ready and available. The clip was shot and edited by Itna Film, the same company which did the band's 'Arrival of the Spectrum Obscure' video last year. The video will be black and white featuring some really raw and brutal scenes & pictures."
AS previously reported, CENTINEX's new album, "World Declension", is scheduled for release in North America on August 23 via Candlelight Records USA. The album was released in Europe on June 27 via Cold/Regain Records. The vinyl version of the album - a limited picture LP featuring alternate artwork - will be released by Swedmetal later in the summer.
The follow-up to 2004's "Decadence - Prophecies of Cosmic Chaos", "World Declension" was recorded at Black Lounge studios and is "the most well-written CENTINEX album by far with everything from share brutality and speed to calmer melodic parts," according to a posting on the group's web site. A CENTINEX/WORLD BELOW split 7" EP, entitled "Doomed Death Blow", will be released by U.K.-based Conquer Records. Limited to 500 copies, the EP will feature one track each from both bands' latest albums.

Just days into a U.S. tour, The Program have broken up. Here's a statement by the band:
"The Program truly regret to inform all of you that we have broken up. Last night was the cap of a 4 year run of bad breaks and sketchy happenings. We will be taking this time to dial in our lives, return to school, and begin the next step of things to come. Thank you all for your support over the years and we apologies to the 25 people who were psyched to see us on this tour. We will all be starting new projects, the details of which will be named later."

Dream Evil Part Ways With Singer And Bassist
Dream Evil have parted ways with both vocalist Niklas Isfeldt and bassist Peter Stålfors. The departing members have released the following statement:
"Dear followers,
Because of personal issues and the fact that Niklas has problems with constantly recurring health problems we have taken the painful decision to leave the band.
All our friends are telling us that it's a bad idea to leave the band now when it's starting to get big, but you may come to a point in your life where you have to make a choice. We have now come to this point in our lives and the choice we have made is to put more time into our families and work.
We've known for a long time that the bigger Dream Evil becomes the more time it will take from the other important things in our lives and in time it was inevitable to make a decision. Therefore we have decided to leave Dream Evil.
There are no hard feelings between us and the other guys in Dream Evil, We’re still the best of friends and they totally understand the position we are in.
So it is with the best confidence we now pass over the mantle to the new members Jake E Berg and Tommy Larsson. They have our blessings and we are confident they will fill our shoes just perfectly and leave nothing for the fans to be desired.
We wish to thank all fans for the support through the years and for making the time in Dream Evil a memory for life.
Stay Evil In The Night
Peter and Niklas"
Ex-Korn Guitarist Posts Video From India
A video of former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch offering a guided tour of the community in India where he has been living in for the past several weeks, helping the poorer communities and leper children, has been posted online at his official web site, HeadToChrist.com (Quicktime, 15.2 MB).
As previously reported, Welch recently announced that he will be founding what he's calling a Head Home in India, where he will house leper children. Footage of his efforts will reportedly be turned into a documentary on his life.
Slipknot To Tap Unearth, AILD for Next Tour
SLIPKNOT have tapped UNEARTH and AS I LAY DYING to open for them on their fall tour. Unlike SLIPKNOT's spring outing, which saw the Iowa-based nine-piece performing in arenas, the upcoming month-long trek will consist primarily of multiple dates in smaller venues. So far, only a three-show run in New York City has been announced:
Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 – New York City, NY @ Nokia Theatre
SLIPKNOT are scheduled to release their first live album in October. The CD promises to "convey the excitement of SLIPKNOT's unparalleled live sets," according to a press release.
SLIPKNOT's third album, "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", debuted at #2 on The Billboard 200 on May 31, 2004 after its May 25 release. The CD has been hanging in the Top 200 ever since that release, having sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Alice In Chains Tribute A Hoax
A spokesperson for the surviving members of ALICE IN CHAINS has told Launch that guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez, and drummer Sean Kinney are unaware of any plans for a proposed tribute album that was previously reported to be in the works. MUDVAYNE's manager also told Launch that the album was a "rumor."
News spread online last week that the project, titled "We Pay Our Debt Sometimes: A Tribute to Alice In Chains", would be released through Bullygoat Records, the label founded by MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray. Artists reportedly involved included MUDVAYNE, COLD, AUDIOSLAVE, BREAKING BENJAMIN, STATIC-X and the members of ALICE IN CHAINS themselves.
