Slipknot To Tap Unearth, As I Lay Dying for Next Tour

SLIPKNOT have tapped UNEARTH and AS I LAY DYING to open for them on their fall tour. Unlike SLIPKNOT's spring outing, which saw the Iowa-based nine-piece performing in arenas, the upcoming month-long trek will consist primarily of multiple dates in smaller venues. So far, only a three-show run in New York City has been announced:
Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 – New York City, NY @ Nokia Theatre
SLIPKNOT are scheduled to release their first live album in October. The CD promises to "convey the excitement of SLIPKNOT's unparalleled live sets," according to a press release.
SLIPKNOT's third album, "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", debuted at #2 on The Billboard 200 on May 31, 2004 after its May 25 release. The CD has been hanging in the Top 200 ever since that release, having sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

slipknot is priveleged enough to have bands like LoG and Unearth pretend that slipknot is better than them. LoG and Unearth just go along so that they can make the $$ that a slipknot show brings in (due to extremely hight icket prices), not because they respect what slipknot has done (very little, actually).
slipknot is like the big gay clown joke band at the end of the night that most people laugh at.

wel its tru slipknot does suck they have no talent just a good drummer ( was on tour w/ Satricyon aka a real f***in band with talent ) a said good not great, slipknot is just produced noise with some minor cathy songs i mean 9 memembers u only need about 4 members to be slipknot 1 drummer, 1 bass player, 1 guiarist, 1vocalist ( vocalist maby on another guitar) thats it i dont know where the other 5 f***in guys do i mean turn tables, samples/media, 2 customed percussionist, what the f*** 5 5 guays add little to the sound and the talent why dont they just go do some even sh**ter music. Slipknot has 2 guitarists Mick & james i think there not that talented of f***in players u sure as hell dont need 2 , theyd get there asses kicked & handed to them by any real guitarists. Plus all this sh** about there the biggest and baddest and heavistes crazy band thats bull sh**>; Yes there r one of the heaviest NU-Metal Bands, buts that nu-metal, theres tons of black, death, viking, heavy, thrash metal bands that r crazier and heavier than them. I dont think its nessacry to give examples but for slipknot fans i will examples from the genras include Sepultura, Emperor, Sytricon, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, FinnTroll ( anyone else herd em), Macabre, DEvilDriver, Lamb of GOd and so on Scope these bands out then compare to slipknot youll want to throw your Slipknot Cds away or at least admit that there not the heaviest and pretty crapy. There a gimic act band they put on the f***in masks and costumes to sell records cause HEY it looked differnt than others bands of a bunch of p***ed of dudes, hard to understand artwork, or violent imagry (death metal, grind), thats it. So in the ENd ya Slipknot is carppy and pretty much sucks
