Cold Video For "Happens All The Time" Online

COLD's video for their new single, "Happens All the Time", has been posted online at RollingStone.com.

"Happens All the Time" is the first single off the Florida-based band's upcoming fourth album, "A Different Kind Of Pain", which is due out on August 30.

COLD frontman Scooter Ward recently told Launch Radio Networks that he went through all kinds of pain before making the disc: his fiancée left him, he entered rehab, two guitarists departed COLD, and the band split with their label. Worst of all, Ward's sister was given two months to live in a battle with cancer (Ward says that his sister's illness is now in remission).

COLD revamped their lineup and signed a new deal with Lava/Atlantic Records last year.

Roadrunner All-Stars To Appear In October

Roadrunner Records has put together a groundbreaking record to mark the label’s 25th Anniversary. The group is called ROADRUNNER UNITED and the album titled "The All-Star Sessions". This full-length release, in stores on October 11, 2005, is a "master class" in hard rock/metal. Boasting 57 artists from 45 of Roadrunner's past and present bands, the album will contain original tracks that are collaborations between numerous Roadrunner stars.

Four central musicians were originally chosen to produce and write the songs. Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT), Dino Cazares (ex-FEAR FACTORY/BRUJERIA), Robert Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) and Matthew Heafy (TRIVIUM). These four musicians play on the songs they have written and have also assembled a unique team of artists to appear on each track. In order to cover as wide a spectrum as possible, no musician has played for more than one writer/producer and each song features a different vocalist.

In addition to these stellar teams of musicians, there will also be special additional tracks from ex-Roadrunner artist, Josh Silver — TYPE O NEGATIVE's longtime producer/keyboardist. In the spirit of the project, Silver has included Roadrunner artists on his tracks as well… OPETH's Mikael Åkerfeldt appears on the Silver-written "Roads".

Track names from the Jordison team include "Constitution Down" (with vocals by Kyle Thomas of FLOODGATE/EXHORDER), "Tired ‘N Lonely" (with vocals from Keith Caputo of LIFE OF AGONY) and "Annihilation by the Hand of God" (with vocals from Glen Benton of DEICIDE), among others. Flynn's camp has completed songs like "The Dagger" (with vocals from Howard Jones of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and "The Rich Man" (with vocals from Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT), among others. "The End" (with vocals from Matt Heafy of TRIVIUM) and "The Enemy" (with vocals from Mark Hunter of CHIMAIRA) are some of the team-Cazares product. And tracks from Heafy's sessions include "The Dawn of a Golden Age" (with vocals from Dani Filth of CRADLE OF FILTH), "Superheroes" (with vocals from Michale Graves of the MISFITS) and "Blood and Flames" (with vocals from Jesse Leach — ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer). Anterrabae Get New Vocalist

Anterrabae have now found a replacement for singer Neal Carter, who left the group in early-May. Joining the band on vocals is Erik Boccio, formerly of Kid Gorgeous. Boccio has been working with the band for several weeks and according to the group, "everything is falling into place very nicely. The old songs are sounding amazing and the new songs are coming along even better than the old ones, so needless to say we are extremely excited to have Erik with us." Here's a statement from Boccio himself:

"I couldn't be more ecstatic about having this opportunity to take the helm along side the most excellent doods of Anterrabae. These guys have an incredible new sound and I'm honored to be part of it. If you were into the Kid G, you won't be disappointed in this. I'm looking forward to getting back on the road and seeing a lot of old friends as well as the many new ones to come. See you all soon enough."

Boccio will make his live debut with the group at the Skate Park in Hackettstown, NJ on August 13th.

Dave Mustaine Gives Gigantour Update

Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message on the forum section of the band's official web site: "Well, the first stage of this tour is behind us and thank God for that. As with all tours I have ever been on over the past 20 years, all tours have bugs in the beginning. Fortunately we have top notch professional people out here from every band and we are now in smooth waters."

"My dream for Gigantour is alive and all of the bands are having a great time. But I don't know who is having a better time — you, the fans, or us, band guys. The backstage environment is one of the best I have ever been in, and I will tell you that we are all, and I mean every band, playing better every night. The DVD is going to be awesome!!!
"Thank you for supporting this dream, thank you for staying metal!

"Tomorrow night [August 2] in Dallas I am supposed to play a song with Dream Theater on behalf of Darryl [sic]. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I have fun since I have never jammed with another band like this. Wish me luck!"

Moody Talks To MTV About Evanescence Split

MTV News recently spoke to former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody about his departure from the group and his upcoming solo album. Asked how he felt about the split with time away to gain perspective, Moody responded, "I have a lot more peace about it, even more than the day I left. ... I still feel it was the right decision because Evanescence has carried on, and they've had great success since me. So I know for a fact I made the right choice. If I stayed, I think Amy and I would have destroyed it because we just weren't heading in the same direction; we were pulling it in two different directions. It was bad." Black Dahlia Murder Guitarist Arrested

The Black Dhalia Murder guitarist Brian Eschbach was arrested for indecent exposure while filming footage for FUSE TV’s Uranium on July 23rd at Ozzfest in Pittsburgh, PA. Brian was given Uranium host Juliya’s camcorder and was walking around the second stage area interviewing random bands and fans when someone pulled his towel off, which happened to be the only thing he was wearing. The police immediately seized Brian and escorted him away to a holding cell on site where he was detained for about 30 minutes before being let go with a citation. Luckily FUSE’s Uranium was onsite and caught everything on camera which will be aired not only on Uranium and Metal Asylum, but also on a FUSE special on Ozzfest. MTV News was also at Ozzfest and you can catch both The Black Dhalia Murder and As I Lay Dying in their coverage of the festival ten to the hour every hour or watch it on MTV Overdrive right now by going to MTVNews.com, and at the bottom of the page click overdrive. Here’s what Brian had to say about his brush with the law in Pittsburgh, “I’d like to start off by saying that it feels good to be free. Of coarse its weird saying that when this incident just draws so much light on how much injustice there is in America and how much general lack of freedom we really have. But it feels good to be back on tour rocking with my band mates… and word up to all my boys in cell A and I hope to see you all again soon.”

*FUSE Ozzfest special airs this Friday 8/5 @ 6:00pm PST/9:00pm EST
*Metal Asylum on Monday 8/8 @ 8:00pm PST/11:00pm EST
*Uranium Ozzfest special airs Friday 8/19 @ 6:00pm PST/9:00pm EST

In other news The Black Dahlia Murder have been making huge waves with their latest release "Miasma" which entered the top 200 Billboard charts for their first week of sales at 119 selling just under 10,000 copies. They also landed the number 1 position in the Billboard Heat Seekers chart, the number 5 position on the Billboard Independent chart, and the number 14 position on the Billboard Top Hard Music chart. Fans and critics alike have been hailing "Miasma" as one of 2005’s best metal albums.

Korn Frontman in Criss Angel Stunt

In a recent press release from Criss Angel, magician and star of A&E's series Mindfreak, he expresses his concerns about the network possibly not wanting to air an episode of this show in which Korn's Jonathan Davis took part. Here is why:

"I did something that is a famous effect that 12 magicians have tried to do and died" to catch a bullet in your teeth. I wanted to devise a way to really try to do it. I had a ballistics expert fabricate a metal cup for my mouth designed to absorb the .223 bullet. And I had a sharpshooter, a guy who is an incredible shot - Jon Davis from the band Korn. And we were successful in doing it. We did it and I didn't kill myself! I want to show people."

He says A&E is worried about copycats trying it. In a statement, the network said it hasn't made a decision on the bullet-catch stunt: "With the enormous success of Criss Angel: Mindfreak with the younger audience, we are carefully reviewing each episode."

Angel is currently working on a book and has a tour planned for fall. "The goal is to become a household name."

Ozzy: Wank For Peace

The following message has been posted on the official Ozzy Osbourne web site:

Rock celebrities have thrown their weight behind a new charity campaigning for world peace. For the past two years, Charlotte di Vita, a Nelson Mandela Children's Fund Goodwill Ambassador, has been asking household names -including politicians, royalty, entertainment heavyweights and sports stars - for their personal goodwill messages. These mottos of hope have then been sold on a range of wristbands, T-shirts and mugs, with 100 per cent of the profits going to worthwhile causes.

Ozzy Osbourne is among many names from the rock world that closet rocker di Vita has added to a long list that includes the King of Spain, Linford Christie, and Scott Ian of Anthrax.

Ozzy keeps things nice and simple with his message: 'Wank for peace', while Scott Ian insists: 'Fucking is so much more fun than war'. Check out and purchase Ozzy's wristband at whateverittakes.org.
