KoRn To Release New Album In November

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has told MTV Italy that the group have set a November 22 release date for their new album, the group's first since the departure of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the band's split with Epic Records. Download a video file containing the nine-minute interview, which was conducted last Sunday prior to the band's appearance at MTV Italy's Coca-Cola Live event, at the KORN fan site EmaKorn.it.
KORN's as-yet-untitled new effort was mixed by Terry Date, who has previously worked with such artists as DEFTONES, PANTERA and SOULFLY, among others. Matrix (AVRIL LAVIGNE, THE MOONEY SUZUKI) and Atticus Ross (BAD RELIGION, PINK) were responsible for the production duties on the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror", with no songs from the band's sessions with Dallas Austin slated to appear on the effort. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Liar", "Politix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort", "It's Me Again", "Coming Undone", "I've Seen It All" and "Souvenir of Sadness".
KORN's last release, "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" (Immortal/Epic), featuring highlights from the first 10 years of the band's recording career, has sold around 970,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
KORN are believed to be close to inking a new record deal with EMI/Virgin. The proposed deal is said to be for two albums and a one-third interest in the band's publishing, merchandising and ticket sales as part of a new contractual model, a la Robbie Williams

vol. 1..... sh**......it's 2005 not 1996.....
The Nu-metal cycle is just about up. The only bands of this genre who have yet to go commercially belly up are Sevendust (who are actually somewhat interesting) Stain'd who have made one sh**ty record after another since that half decent first one and the 2 Johnny come lately bands SOAD (who have earned the right to be relevant) and Linkin Park whose next album "should" be their last big selling one.....Though I made a similar prediction for the last one and was saddly mistaken.
Meh, hair metal didn't hang on this long but it took forever for grunge to die too and it's still f***ing resonating.

never.
It's a metal site raw nerves, short temper and unchained rage is what metal is about.....and often the fans as well.......I spent a few months trying to be a peacemaker here....I made a few friends but the circus of violent dialogue is never ending.
