TRIVIUM have posted the following message on their official website:
"Hello Everyone!
First we would like to extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to all the souls negatively affected by Hurricane Katrina, we have friends, family and fans along the gulf coast and our thoughts are with everyone impacted. If you are able please find time to donate what you can to help the victims of this terrible tragedy.
We had a great ending to yesterdays final Ozzfest Show in West Palm Beach, we got to see alot of family, friends & fans - it was a good day - we enjoyed our time on the tour, especially playing and meeting new friends and fans, all -in- all it was quite an expericence and we are thankful for the opportunity.
We will be taking it easy for the next 3 days then its back to the road - we leave Thursday (9.8.2005) for our first ever headlining run in the UK. Joining us for the ASCENDANCY TOUR will be ALL THAT REMAINS and IT DIES TODAY. We will be playing songs off of Ember To Infeno as well as Ascedancy with a few suprises thrown in here and there, this will be a fun tour and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Emails, comments and requests - we have a ton of emails and comments that we didn't have time to answer while on tour and we aren't sure if we will be able to get to them all before we leave, but we will catch up on our reading them over the next few days, we did check out the fan art link and there is some great work being submitted, very creative.
We do appreciate those of you who take time to write or comment and show your support in so many ways - it is so cool and we appreciate it very much. We did get to meet alot of members from our message boards and myspace this summer and we got some pictures with you - which was cool and thanks to everyone who sent pictures through-out the tour to our webmaster to be posted on the sites, thats awesome. Thanks to Nick Goodjohn for sharing his pictures with us from the KERRANG! Awards Most Wanted gig in London, much appreciated.
We hope you are all safe and doing well, we will talk to you soon!!
All the best"

Everyone who got to see Trivium playing the second stage at ozzfest is soooooooooooo f***in lucky.I wouldve gone but Im as broke as a joke so i wasn't able to get any tickets. A friend of mine went and he got trivium to sign his dominoe's hat for him and Matt Heafy told him that he used to work at a Dominoe's before he joined the band.

The fact of the matter is Trivium is excellent at what they do....It's metal conservatives and pot-belly old schoolers who fear some of the best bands out there....
I know a girl who loved everything about Opeth except the death vocals ....WHICH SHE WOULD TURN DOWN THE VOLUME ON!!!
I nearly killed her on a road trip while listening to "Blackwater Park". I begged her to listen to the whole disk without turning the nob....and now she has upwards of 50 death/black metal cds....Opeth broke her cherry and now half the sh** she listens too is pure death metal.
It's a tough thing to get into.....how shall we say...."challenging" vocals....(see also any death metal, black metal, hardcore, grind --real-- punk band etc) but once your ear can handle atonal rage in vocals you'll realize you cheated yourself out of some great music.
but some people never let anything but the first time they hear something effect them....If they hate it the first time they hear it some people will never give it another chance.....
It's like trying to get toddlers used to a new food.

This message board has called trivium the 'best band ever' and also said that they f***in suck???I believe they are very talented young musicians. their song structures are pretty simple, but they do f***in absolutely shred. These guys are talented beyond their years, but they should seperate themselves as far as they can from the 'New Wave of American Heavy Metal'. They are kind of a throwback, except for the vocals and they are refreshing to hear amongst all the Unearths, and Killswitch In Flamers out there. .....AND IM GOING TO THE COB, TRIVIUM, AMON AMARTH show at the palladium in worcester on dec 10th, so f*** all the haters...........

Trivium is bad ass....kinda like early metalica except the drums are 10 times better and the singing is, well, diferent. I was so p***ed that I missed them at Ozzfest this summer. We got there right as they were ending, but we had to stop at the liquor store to sneak in some little shot bottles so I guess we deserve it.
