Kreator To Release New Cd In DVD-Audio Format

German thrashers KREATOR will re-release their latest album, "Enemy of God", in early 2006 in the DVD-Audio format, featuring very high quality, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, plus additional video material (including animation) and footage of KREATOR appearing on various TV shows.

Commented KREATOR mainman Mille Petrozza: "'Enemy of God' is our best-produced album thus far. But it will sound even more brutal in this special Dolby Digital edition."

In addition to the extra footage mentioned above, the DVD-Audio edition of "Enemy of God" will include a fan-created music video for the song "Dying Race Apocalypse". Fans are encouraged to film and create their own clip and send it to this address:

SPV GmbH

The best entry will become part of the official DVD-Audio edition of "Enemy of God" and the winner will receive 1000 euros. Other prizes include 33 KREATOR fan packages. The deadline for registration is mid-October. All video clips should be completed and submitted by mid-November.

The follow-up to 2001's "Violent Revolution", "Enemy of God" was recorded and mixed at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, SKINLAB, NEVERMORE). ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott makes a guest appearance on lead guitar on the track "Murder Fantasies".

Ozzy NFL Performance Lip-Sync Up For Download

FoundryMusic.com has uploaded a video file containing footage of OZZY OSBOURNE and his solo band — including guitarist Zakk Wylde, drummer Mike Bordin and bassist Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (ROB ZOMBIE) — making a "surprise" appearance Thursday night (Sept. 8) in Foxboro, Mass., as part of ABC's "NFL Kickoff" show leading into the season opener between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders at Gillette Stadium. Wearing a Patriots jersey, Ozzy allegedly "lip-synched" his way through a version of "Crazy Train" from atop the New England Patriots football helmet while the team came running through onto the field. (NOTE: Ozzy is believed to have sung along to a pre-recorded vocal track, with his live singing voice audible during portions of the broadcast). Download the video at this location.

Crue To Record Home Sweet Home w/ Bennington

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message in his online diary:

"Tomorrow [Saturday, September 10] will be a long day, but a good day. We need to be at CMT studios in Nashville to cut 'Home Sweet Home' live with Chester [Bennington] from LINKIN PARK at 9 a.m. We're gonna have other players as well — piano, a second guitar, strings, choir etc. We're doing this for the hurricane relief fund. Then we go to a recording studio with everybody in tow and cut it proper for a single to be released to raise more money to help the people of New Orleans, then we have a concert that night.

"Tonight was our 100th show so far...

"Got to go to Nashville now..."

Ozzy Longs To Record Acoustic Album

ContactMusic.com is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne is desperate to record an album of acoustic ballads but record company bosses won't take him seriously unless he's the "Prince of Darkness."

The BLACK SABBATH frontman is keen to show off other aspects of his musical ability, but fears he'll have to keep recording heavy metal tunes until his dying day.

Osbourne says, "Trying to get away from the Prince of Darkness is the hardest f**king thing.

"I'd like to sing songs that are mellower. I'd like to do an acoustic album. I don't want to be screaming when I'm 60.

"But all the record company is interested in is my looking like a f**king madman with cherry juice running down my face."
