The Gates Of Slumber Replace Drummer
The Gates Of Slumber, featuring former Burn It Down bassist Jason McCash, have parted ways with drummer Chuck Brown "for reasons both personal and artistic." Replacing Brown is former TGOS drummer Chris Gordon. Meanwhile, the band will release a CDep this fall through Hellride Records.
As I Lay Dying Win Artist Of The Year Award
As I Lay Dying just won the Artist of the Year award at this year's San Diego Music Awards.
The band comments on their official website: "We can't lie....this comes as a total surprise to us, especially when you consider the tough competition we were up against. But then again, considering the award was voted on by you the fans, and considering that As I Lay Dying has the best fans in the world, maybe it's not a surprise after all. Thanks to all of you for the love and support you have given us. As always, we couldn't do it without you."
The Project Hate Add Evergrey Bassist
The Project Hate has announced the addition of Evergrey bassist, Michael Håkansson, as an official member of the band. The band writes on their website: "We are very happy to have him in the band considering the work he did on the coming album, and we welcome him to the Hate."
The Project Hate will be releasing their forthcoming album, "Armageddon March Eternal (Symphonies of Slit Wrists)," on October 5th.
Tool Drummer To Perform In LA w/ Volto!
The power is back on in Los Angeles and Volto! (featuring Tool drummer Danny Carey, Kirk Covington, John Ziegler and Lance Morrison) will be performing twice this month. The first show is Thursday (September 15) at the La Ve Lee jazz club in Studio City, with the second gig being the band's debut at The Knitting Factory next Wednesday September 28. Unearth Announce More Upcoming Tour Dates
Unearth have announced most of the dates for their upcoming tour. The band will play a few smaller club shows with As I Lay Dying and others during off days on the Slipknot tour. Dates are as follows:

Vehemence Change Vocalist Again
Vehemence has announced that they will no longer be working with former From A Second Story Window vocalist, Sean Vandegrift, who was originally recruited by the band in January. According to the group, "We wish him the best of luck." Vehemence has now added Glass Casket vocalist Adam COdy to their line-up. COdy filled in for the band this past spring during the band's tour with The Red Death and Crematorium and is currently "working on lyrics and demoing some of [Vehemence's] new material."
Danzig Announce Guitarist, Cancel New Orleans Gig
Danzig has confirmed that the addition of their new guitarist Joe Fraulob (Deconstruct). After his audition, Jerry, Johnny and Danzig all agreed Joe was the man for the job.
In other Danzig news, the band regrets to announce that due to the disaster inflicted on the Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina, their New Orleans live date has been cancelled as the city slowly tries to recover from all the damage.
The Warmth Of Red Blood Plan EP Instead of Full
The Warmth Of Red Blood, the new incarnation of Shai Hulud, have changed plans for their debut release. Originally slated to release a full-length, the band will now put out an EP. The effort will be recorded late this year and will feature three new songs. The EP should hit streets in early-2006, followed by a full-length late next year. Meanwhile, the group are apparently closer to finally finding a singer. For now, they comment, "[You] must be wondering if we found a singer yet. I think we did- even so, [we're] hesitant to divulge anything just yet."
Rammstein Nominated For 2 Comet Awards
Rammstein are nominated in for Best Live Act and Best Video for the Comet Awards. In the category "Best Video," Rammstein are featured with the video of "Keine Lust." Fans can vote for their favourites at this location. The voting ends October 4 2005 and the conferment of the Comet will be broadcasted October 6 at Pro7 and October 7 at VIVA.
Green Carnation Bassist Works With Aussie Band
Green Carnation will be without bass player Stein Roger Sordal for the rest of 2005. Sordal has gone to Australia to work with a band called "The Karma."
Eyes Of Fire Plan Video Shoot
Eyes Of Fire will film a video for the track "It All Dies Today" early next month. Directing the video will be Gary Smithson (Exodus, High On Fire) and the video is expected to debut in early-2006.

Ozzy Recalls Best And Worst Rehab Experiences
Playboy magazine features an interview with Ozzy Osbourne in their October issue, and asked the Prince of Darkness his favorite and least favorite rehab centers. "Betty Ford is a good one. And a place called Promises, in Malibu, which is like a [bleeping] Hollywood camp resort for wealthy [bleeping] lunatics," Osbourne said. "Hazelden, in Minnesota, is a really hard one. They do not [bleep] around. I checked out because it scared me. They use a thing called tough love, where they're like 'You [bleeping] piece of [bleep]!' I was like, 'I felt like a piece of [bleep] before. That's why I am paying you all this money. You don't need to tell me every day.'"

Sevendust Sign European Deal Through Roadrunner
SEVENDUST have inked a European deal with Roadrunner Records for the release of their fifth studio album, "Next". The follow-up to 2003's "Seasons" is scheduled for release in Europe on October (October 11 in the U.S via WineDark Records via Fontana Distribution, a division of Universal Music and Video Distribution). A video for the album's first single, "Ugly", was shot in Los Angeles, CA on August 28 and 29 with P.R. Brown (BILLY CORGAN, MÖTLEY CRÜE) behind the lens. It's expected to invade TV airwaves by mid-September. A SEVENDUST e-card, containing the songs "Ugly" and "Pieces", is available at this location.
SEVENDUST are currently making plans to launch a U.S. tour starting in January. Stay tuned for details.
Shadows Fall Add Finishing Touches To DVD
Shadows Fall are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming "The Art Of Touring" DVD outing and are nearing the announcement of an official release date. The offering will feature both live and backstage footage, videos and more taken from "The Art Of Balance" touring cycle.
As I Lay Dying Preparing Next Video From Album
As I Lay Dying have recruited director Lex Halaby (Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne) to film a video for their track "Through Struggle" in the Los Angeles, CA area this coming weekend.
Ozzfest Xth: DVD From 10th Anniv. To Be Put Out
An "Ozzfest Xth Anniversary" DVD/CD set is being put together for a November 22nd release date via Clear Channel Ent.. No word yet on what all will be featured on the outing as of yet.
Rob Zombie To Re-Release Hellbilly Deluxe
Rob Zombie is now planning to release a new edition of his "Hellbilly Deluxe" album, complete with a bonus DVD featuring videos for every song on the effort. Expanded artwork will also be included with the CD/DVD set, which will carry the title of "Hellbilly Super Deluxe" when it arrives in stores later this year. Slipknot Chose 9.0 Live As Their Upcomming Cd Name
Slipknot have settled upon "9.0: Live" as the title to their upcoming live CD which is set for a November 01st release date through Roadrunner.
