Leng Tch'e Post Two New Tracks Online

LENG TCH'E have posted two new tracks on their MySpace page. The songs called 'Lucid Denial' and 'Tightrope Propaganda' will be on the upcoming album Marasmus, due out March 6th on Relapse Records.

The CD was recorded in September 2006 at CCR studios in Belgium and mixed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström. Mastering was done by Alan Douches at West-West Side Music in New York.

Taken from the Relapse website: "Belgian grinders Leng Tch'e drop the hammer with their new full-length Marasmus. A heavier and more measured bludgeoning than previous records, Marasmus sees the band incorporating more pronounced death metal riffage to their pummeling grind assault. Marasmus finds Leng Tch'e maximizing their already lethal damage per square riff ratio with a more deliberate sense of pace. An absolute blinder of a full-length, Marasmus puts Leng Tch'e squarely at the forefront of the modern extreme scene."

Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese Divorce

TMZ.com has obtained divorce papers filed by Marilyn Manson's wife, burlesque dancer Dita by Von Teese (real name Heather Sweet) in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the documents, Von Teese cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her marriage to Manson (real name Brian Warner). According to Sweet, the couple called it quits on Christmas Eve. You can check out the documents at this location (PDF file) if you wish.

While the papers were filed on December 29, a source close to the couple tells the New York Post's Page Six that Manson has been in the dark on the split, because Von Teese can't get in touch with the guy. "She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone." Page Six also claims that Manson's alcohol use may have oiled up the breakup.

The Sun reports Dita Von Teese ended her brief marriage to Marilyn Manson because of the rocker's drug use and non-stop partying with Lindsay Lohan. "Dita just had enough of his wild partying. Lindsay Lohan was always ringing up the house wanting to come round and party with him," a source revealed. "The phone would go all through the night, with people turning up at the house to hang out. And he became paranoid as a result of the drugs he was taking. At one stage he thought the cleaner was trying to kill him."

Now Manson is romantically involved with 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood, sources close to the situation tell People magazine. A source told the mag, "Dita is heartbroken, she didn't see this coming. His partying contributed to the split as well."

Manson and Von Teese had a star-studded wedding ceremony in Ireland in December of 2005. Keanu Reeves, Lisa Maria Presley and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne were among the guests.

Job For A Cowboy Announce New Drummer

Job For A Cowboy has announced the latest addition to the line-up, Jon "The Charn" Rice! Jon has been playing drums for about 7 years. After completing a year at Capital's Conservatory of Music, majoring in Music Business with a focus on Percussion, Jon left to pursue a career in music.

JFAC guitarist, Ravi Bhadriraju had this to say about his new band mate:
"Jon's Badass. His demo was awesome and we felt that after meeting and talking to other drummers that his personality fit best with ours. In addition to an awesome drummer, we needed someone who wants what we want and that is to tour as much as possible and he is down with that. We have no plans to stop and I'm glad we get to do that with the comfort of knowing we brought the right dude with us and that he feels the same."

New drummer, Jon agrees:
"For me it's a dream come true. It's one of those things where you take a chance and send a demo over and then your life is changed. I'm really looking forward to living on the road. I've lived in Pittsburgh forever and starting in a few weeks I will be living the dream and seeing the world."

Job For A Cowboy just recently completed work on their Metal Blade Records debut which will be out in the Spring/Summer of 2007. The band is now gearing up for a month long trek with The Acacia Strain, See You Next Tuesday, Daath and label mates PSYOPUS. The tour starts January 12th in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Dark Funeral's Brand of Black Metal Still Brutal

"This song is about a very beautiful day," said Emperor Magus Caligula, lead growler for the Swedish black-metal band Dark Funeral. "It's about the arrival of Satan's empire!" he barked, the sentence ending in a screeching yowl that sent the Tuesday night crowd at Jaxx into an arm-waving frenzy of devil-horn affirmation.

Black metal is primarily a Nordic phenomenon, the genre's artists embracing their Viking and pagan pasts thematically and reverting to an almost primal state musically.

The evening's co-headliner, Norway's Enslaved, features the influences of Pink Floyd and Alice in Chains in its progressive black metal, with sung sections offsetting the Cookie Monster vocals and tempo changes breaking up the jackhammered double-bass drums.

But Dark Funeral is among the most extreme examples of black metal, and the group's hour-long set was uniformly brutal. The band's buzz-saw music is unrelentingly fast, and drummer Matte Modin incessantly battered his double-bass drums as Chaq Mol and bandleader Lord Ahriman hammered their guitars to create a dense wall of sludge, not flashy solos.

Machine Head's Dave McClain Checks In

Dave McClain checked in from the band's website.

Hey Ya'll!!

Happy New Year to everybody!! Looking forward to getting back on the road and unleashing the new album on everyone! Everything is finally coming together. Artwork and CD booklet getting finalized, mastering is complete and preparations for the Lamb Of God tour are underway!!

I started practicing today by myself and getting in "show shape". I practice a lot on my own but today I started playing like I would if we were doing a show, just basically hitting a lot harder and running through a lot of songs back to back. A good day of practicing, I already feel like I'm in "mid tour" form. So, about three songs into playing, I feel some blisters start to form. I was going to put some tape around them just to keep them from popping and ripping open but I kept playing on and two songs later I actually got to see two chunks fly off my hand!!! Yes!! I hardly ever get to see them fly off. My lucky day I guess!

Anyway, back to the tour.

I've never seen Gojira before but heard some of the their stuff and heard that they're a killer live band.

Of course we already know the Trivium guys really well and have crossed paths a few times. Hmmmm, I see booze in our future!!

I can safely say that Lamb Of God are one of my favorite metal bands. Killer riffs, great musicians and after doing some shows with them and coming out to a few on our own and hanging out with them, I can also say that they're cool people as well. Really looking forward to watching Chris play every night. I see more booze in our future!

That's about it. See ya on the road!!

Peter Dolving Reflects on Near She-Male Encounter

"The last couple of weeks I was obsessing madly over sex. I get into periods of it. Naturally, being me it's not the 'Gee, that girl has a fine rack' kind of obsessing. It's more, me walking past a utility store, I look through the window at the power tools and kitchen utensils and my brain goes: 'Potential Gear For Sexual Application.' I walk through the grocery store passing the vegetables: 'Hmmm, I could use that, that and that for SEX!' I sit on the bus going downtown looking at the girl a couple of seats over, my brain kinda rumbles: 'fffffuuuuuuuuggghhhh' and like an animal I sit staring at her, drool and foam forming at the corners of my mouth. While the conscious part me of is reeling. 'Whoa boy!' Cracking the whip, and holding the leash in an iron grip. 'Down you devil, down!!'

"Yeah it's taken on that extra dimension.

"It used to be, 'Yeah, I'm young, I got sex on my mind. If you don't, you're the one who's fucked up!' Not anymore. My mind will curl up into a ball of self-containment, shutting off, keeping its focus on dick, pussy, and ass unrelentlessly for days. It's been like this since I was a kid. Analysis, anyone? I get this much — my mind is running away. Sex kickstarts endorphines and other dopamines, so what's the deal? Is my brain protecting me from myself? Am I so full of fear that my mind will implode into a animate black hole of lubed up expanded assholes, pussy and pulsating cocks until infinity to keep me from... from what? Is this something I can get rid of? Do I want to rid myself of it?

"Or is it just like this for everyone? I don't know.

Deicide Guitarist Updates From the Road

DEICIDE has vowed to play the previously announced Spanish dates despite the decision by the local promoter, Matarile, to withdraw its involvement in the shows.

Matarile, the agency in charge of promoting the gigs on the Spanish leg of the current DEICIDE European tour, released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET earlier today (Thursday, January 11) announcing that it was "cancelling" the three shows due to the absence from the tour of the group's bassist/vocalist Glen Benton. "Matarile regrets to report the decision of cancelling these shows to avoid that part of the Spanish fans could feel disappointed and deceived," the company said in the statement.

Within a couple of hours of Matarile's original statement being published on the pages of this site, DEICIDE guitarist Ralph Santolla contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET to say that the band will attempt to play all dates as scheduled, despite any reports to the contrary.

"DEICIDE is NOT cancelling Spain or anywhere else on this tour," Santolla told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Matarile is not our booking agent, just a local promoter with no ties to DEICIDE. We are moving the venues in Spain and the new ones will be announced tomorrow [Friday, January 12]. We've had very large turnouts and great gigs so far, and we will play the full tour. We expect Glen to join us as soon as his situation allows."

Kam Lee to Do Vocals on New Hateplow Album

Former DEATH/MASSACRE frontman Kam Lee has issued the following update:

"The rumors are true...

"Some of you have written me asking about the rumors of 'other' bands that I may be involved in this upcoming year. Other then DENIAL FIEND...

"Yes, the rumors are true! Not only will DENIAL FIEND record and release our debut album, 'They Rise', for Ibex Moon Records, but hopefully later will see the release of the SHADOWS WITH KNIVES EP, as well on Ibex Moon. SHADOWS WITH KNIVES is old-school style heavy metal mixed with death metal-style vokills. Like listening to those old metal bands like TROUBLE, TANK, WITCHFINDER GENERAL, MERCYFUL FATE, IRON MAIDEN, and BLACK SABBATH, only with the death grunt of me as well as the grindcore growls of Mark Odechuck of PAINEATER!

"Also... Yes, I am working with Matt Olivo of REPULSION on a new project now tentatively called: MONSTERSHOCK! This is currently in the now, and the band will be old-school death metal/grindcore in the same vein as early DEATH and REPULSION!

"And yes, too... I've been asked to lend my vokill talents for the new HATEPLOW album! I've been speaking with Phil [Fasciana] of MALEVOLENT CREATION, and he is gearing up to do the most hate-filled HATEPLOW album ever, and he has asked me to join in on the foul dark hatred!!

"So yes, I am planning on the year of 2007 to be a busy-ass year! But I'm willing to give 100% into bringing you the 'fans' the most insane, cult, sick-ass vokills you'll ever hear!!!"

Kyuss Singer Names Solo Project Garcia Vs. Garcia

Vocalist John Garcia (KYUSS, UNIDA, HERMANO) has set GARCIA VS. GARCIA as the name of his upcoming solo project. The singer is currently in the studio writing and recording material for GARCIA VS. GARCIA's debut album, which is tentatively due on September 4, 2008.

One of the songs that are set to appear on the upcoming CD is "5000 Miles", which was written by Canadian musician Danko Jones with Garcia in mind.

"'5000 Miles' was inspired by something I read in an interview with John where he was talking about his reluctance to tour because he misses being with his family," Danko recently told Toronto's Now magazine. "I e-mailed him the lyrics along with a note that said if he hated it, no problem — I'd write 50 more until I came up with one he thought was good enough. He called me up the next day to say, 'Stop writing, this one's great!'"

The mutual admiration that resulted in Garcia singing on DANKO JONES' "Sleep Is The Enemy" album track "Invisible" was supposed to be a one-off recording collaboration, but everything came together so smoothly, they decided to follow it up with a few concert dates together in Norway in November and a one-off show in Toronto in December.

"This whole thing with John Garcia happened really naturally," Danko told Now. "When he agreed to do some shows with us in Norway, it didn't seem right for him to be flying all that way just to sing 'Invisible', so we kicked around a few ideas for other songs we could perform together — something by [his groups] KYUSS, UNIDA and HERMANO along with a few other things."

As for Garcia, he couldn't be happier with the way his ongoing collaboration with DANKO JONES has developed.

"We connected even before we met eye to eye," said Garcia. "My manager in Holland is a fan of DANKO JONES, and he's the one who initially suggested that I check out the band. So I got their CDs and sat out on the deck one night and listened to their entire catalog, and I liked what I heard — I liked their sound and their attitude. Danko's not just a good songwriter, he's a great songwriter."

Hagar Hopes Van Halen Takes High Road At Rock Hall

Billboard.com reports: Van Halen's appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on March 12 "could go a lot of different ways," according to Sammy Hagar. That said, Hagar -- the group's second frontman, from 1985-96 -- tells Billboard.com he has high hopes that the famously combative group will take the high road on that particular night.

"My hope is that everyone lets everything go and we go there in complete respect of each other and in a loving way, with the attitude that 'I couldn't have done it without you' towards everybody," says Hagar, who received the official word of Van Halen's selection at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Mexico, where he and Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony have spent the past week jamming with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith in a newly developing side project called Chickenfoot.

But he also notes that, "The biggest fear for me is there'll be animosity and 'I won't talk to that guy' and maybe some harsh words towards each other or some sly remarks in speeches ... and it's not out of the question that that could happen. But in the end, no matter what happens, when you hear the music you're gonna go, 'That's one of the greatest rock'n'roll bands in the world, ever, and well-deserved the inauguration into the Hall of Fame."

Hagar says he hadn't spoken to anyone other than Anthony about the induction but planned to put in a congratulatory call to drummer Alex Van Halen. He expects that manager Irving Azoff "is gonna try to spin everyone together somehow" and says he'll "go with the flow" with induction ceremony plans, which Hagar expects will include a live Van Halen performance.

Watch Nebelhexe's "UnderWorld" Video Online

NEBELHEXE's video to the song "Underworld" taken from the album "Essensual" can now be viewed on MySpace. You can check it out here.

Andrea in her own words about her video to "Underworld":

"Underworld reflects stains and scars… those on the inside. The outside is the fassade and no one knows what is hiding inside of a person… in my video concept, I am the fassade and the observer walking in ugly cold and big old factory rooms… I pass by the chained and beaten up men… who represent the stains and scars and chains that hold us in our everyday life. The song is also about the image of vampires, kind of about my inner nature, my inner wolf that I have to hide away a lot of times, when I am out doing everyday tasks. Sometimes I am forced to be amongst social events and just smile and talk about everyday things… when really I just want to scream out "fucking hell I want to get out of here…"

"To me the musical art and the visual art go hand in hand. Every visual picture, colour, symbol or image I put out has a connection to the music, the lyrics, the emotion and atmosphere, thus creating a whole. To me art and magic, or spirituality, are connected. Art is a reflection of the artist’s constant thirst for discovery, knowledge and live experience… I try to awake deep emotions and visions that I hope will move something in the individual. What I hope to inspire people mostly with is that they think for themselves and value their individual freedom."

The song comes off the reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit's upcoming album, "Killing Peace", due on March 5 via Candlelight Records.

"Killing Peace" was recorded at Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE). The complete track listing is as follows:

01. Burn
02. Killing Peace
03. Destroyer of Worlds
04. Pain
05. A Prayer for the Dead
06. Tested to Destruction
07. Twisted Jesus
08. Planting Seeds of Hate
09. Shock & Awe

The band has also re-recorded its classic first-album title track, "Power from Hell". The song was reborn on the 6/6/06 and mixed by Andy Henderson.

ONSLAUGHT's current lineup includes Sy Keeler (vocals), Nige Rockett (guitars), Steve Grice (drums), James Hinder (bass) and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).

Commented Keeler: "We've had positive response from all who've heard our 'masterpiece' and we're so looking forward to the release on March 5th. The artwork (by Jeff Williams) for the album excites us as much as the music; each lyric page has great artwork linked to the song."

ONSLAUGHT is currently putting together gigs for 2007. Already confirmed are dates in Greece with NAPALM DEATH and Warsaw, Poland on February 12, which will be shot for a DVD release. A video for the album's title track, "Killing Peace", will be shot this month.
