Shadows Fall Set Release Date
Shadows Fall have set April 3rd as the release for their Atlantic Records debut, "Threads of Life." The band will be on the road this spring with Stone Sour and Lacuna Coil as apart of the Jägermeister Music Tour.
Rage Against The Machine Reunion Update
Hits Daily Double reports that the reunion of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, who will appear at this summer's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, follows a winding road that included an aborted Zack de la Rocha solo project, and the three remaining members — Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford — forming AUDIOSLAVE with Chris Cornell. The band will manage itself, with Dan Field handling the solo work of Morello, Wilk and Commerford and William Morris' Sara Newkirk overseeing de la Rocha. If the group goes on to record a new album, presumably it would be on Epic. If they did decide to tour together, it would be huge.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's headlining performance at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was confirmed earlier in the week by press representatives for the festival. The political rap-rock act, which was one of the biggest acts of the '90s, played Coachella's main stage during the festival's first edition in 1999. The group broke up in 2000 after three studio albums, one collection of covers and one live set.

Scarlet Call It A Day After Singer Departs
After 4 years since their debut on Ferret Music, Richmond's Scarlet has officially called it quits. This decision was primarily based on the recent departure of second singer, Brandon Roundtree.
"We feel it would be unfair to fans, and to ourselves, to try and continue with yet another singer."
Andreas, Bryan, and Randy would like to thank all of their Fans, Ferret Records, and former members, Jon Spencer, Dan Tulloh and Chris Hagen, for some of the best times in their lives to this point. Despite the break up, Andreas and Randy, who co-wrote and produced all Scarlet records, are exercising their desire to create non-metal music. They have currently formed a new band entitled Coworker, and have been in the studio recording new material. You can check out Coworker on their MySpace page.
Scarlet leave us with a limited edition MCD 'Something To Lust About', and 2 full length albums, 'Cult Classic' and the foreboding 'This Was Always Meant To Fall Apart'.

Tom Araya Talks To LiveDaily.com About Influences
LiveDaily sat down with Araya on the eve of the band's upcoming North American tour. Here's an excerpt:
LiveDaily: Is it fair to say that Slayer has become a lot more political in recent years?
Tom Araya: It comes across that way, but it's not. There are more social commentaries, and more of, "This is what I see, so I'm going to write it." But we really don't like to state our views. We just like to write what we see and see what your opinion is, and what you think of what we're seeing. Maybe you're seeing something different...
But it's not unfair to say that your inspirations have changed a lot over the years?
Yeah, you've got different things that inspire you. It's your surroundings, and it's maturity. You grow up and you start seeing things differently, and you start writing differently. It doesn't mean you're going to change the imagery and the ideas behind Slayer, you're just going to change the pictures you're painting. Where before it was demons and devils, now you're writing songs about humanity's demons and humanity's devils.
