Interview With Bess Of Liquid Violence
New York's LIQUID VIOLENCE are working on their new album on Rut Records and plan to keep it heavy and straight ahead with their unmistakeable rockin out the walls of a joint sound. With clearly a great live reputation that far proceeds them, this is one of those recent band discoveries for me where I must fully confess makes me feel rather guilty for now just jumping on the bandwagon. But that's not this issue. Music is always about new discovery and it's clear to see that this band has been paying its dues for quite some time now and slowly but surely have begun to develop a strong fanbase of alcohol chugging, rip the beer bottle cap off with your teeth type of following. And that's not to say that these guys aren't talented musicians in their own right and can't draw the more musically educated fan. They can bring it with the best of them around when they need to. All one has to do is hear what they're about and make their own mind up. I got some Q&A in with their drummer, Bess. More...
Mutiny Issue Recording Update
Mutiny's bass player, AJ, posted the following message on their myspace blog:
Samus [drummer] is at a studio in New York recording drums for the new Dark Empire album. We're all very excited about this, he's gonna tear that shit up!
Back here at home, the rest of us are working on a new song. Plus, we have about 5 or 6 other songs waiting to be worked on as well. The new songs are shorter in length but jam packed with material, straight to the point...
Last week, Samus had us all go over to his new studio and record Breaking Bach. Everything is recorded except for vocals. We asked Tom from Slaughter For Sanity to give it a shot and he is all for it! We have been chillin with him a lot lately and feel a strong connection, we're all very confident that his performance will blow everyone away! When Samus gets back next week, we'll start working on new songs and record Tom's vocals. We will then begin to record the rest of our songs and compile a press kit to send out to record labels.
One more thing, watch the new videos on our page...
Later, AJ

NervoChaos Signs To Ibex Moon Records
Brazilian death-thrashers NervoChaos are preparing their third full-length, “Quarrel in Hell,” to be releases this spring via Ibex Moon Records.
The furious Brazilian metallers combine the best elements of all extreme music, mixing sheer brutality, amazing technical skills, and speed with thrashing vibes. With “Quarrel in Hell,” NervoChaos manages to deliver the most brutal and yet sophisticated output of their career.
“Quarrel in Hell” features special guest appearances by Alex Camargo (Krisiun), John McEntee (Incantation), Emperor Magnus Caligula (Dark Funeral), Sanguine & Wrath (Averse Sefira), and Mark “Barney” Greenway (Napalm Death).
“I have known Eduardo, the drummer, for a long time,” said Ibex Moon owner and Incantation frontman John McEntee. “When Incantation was on tour in Brazil in 2004, he asked me if I would do some vocals on a track from their upcoming album. Being good friends with him, I gave it a shot. The music was kick ass and it was my first time officially recording my vocals, so it was cool to hear how they sounded on the recording. The finished CD kicks ass. They have their own sound and I think the death metal masses will like it.”
The São Paolo-based group was formed in the spring of 1996, with the intention of creating an aggressive and chaotic band to shred the barriers of death metal and hardcore. In the decade since, NervoChaos has gained cult status in the extreme music scene thanks to their hard work and their demo tapes have become collector’s items in the underground scene.
The has shared the stage with a long list of international bands from all sub-genres of extreme music, including Cannibal Corpse, Krisiun, Napalm Death, Kreator, Biohazard, Dismember, Agnostic Front, Disgorge, D.R.I., Monstrosity, Volcano, Deeds of Flesh, Pandemia, Total Fucking Destruction, Belphegor, and Iconoclasm.
You can hear some of NervoChaos' material on their MySpace page.
