The Legion Give Update On Third Album

Swedish black/death metallers THE LEGION, featuring former MARDUK drummer Emil Dragutinovic, have issued the following update:

"The progress of our third album is coming along fine and most of the material is ready. We still have a lot of vocal arrangements to deal with but we hope to get started with the recording this spring. We've also been busy upgrading our own studio, Art Decay, since the last album. The plan is to record everything there this time and hopefully this will result in a more dynamic and experimental release. The cover art will once again be handled by Kris Verwimp [MARDUK, ABSU, IMMORTAL]."

THE LEGION released its sophomore album, "Revocation", in February 2006 via Listenable Records.

Blood Red Throne To Record Fourth Album Soon

Norwegian death metallers BLOOD RED THRONE will enter Jailhouse Studios in Horsens, Denmark in early February to begin recording their fourth studio album, tentatively due this summer via Earache Records. The upcoming CD will be the group's first to feature new members Anders Haave (drums) and Vald (vocals). Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Rebirth in Blood", "Come Death", "No New Beginning" and "Slaying the Lamb".

"This time, we aim for a more classic death metal sound, ala GORGUTS 'Considered Dead' / SUFFOCATION 'Despise the Sun' kind of sound," the band previously said. "We have grown tired with the over-produced and fully triggered drum kits that so many bands use today, besides we have taken a slightly new direction with our music and the analog and dynamic sound fits the music better. We have also chosen a different approach to the recording process of the instruments."

Orphaned Land Announce New Album

Vocalist for Orphaned Land, Kobi Farhi, has posted the following reguarding their upcoming album:

"These past months we've received a lot of suggestions with ideas and proposals for our next album's concept. We even opened threads regarding this topic in all our forums, and people from all over the world suggested many great ideas, many of them were excellent and certainly help us choose the concept we are beginning to sync to – Many thanks to all of you for the inspiration!
Soon Alon Miasnikov and I will start to work on the full story of the album, Yossi and Matti are already composing the music and arranging sessions with Uri and me to create the musical puzzle for our next release.
Throughout the years, and especially in the last weeks period, I've been researching this new concept in depth (for comparison, 'Mabool' was the biggest research we've done in terms of a single topic focus, including dozens of meetings and hundreds of pages of information from various resources). The research work for our future release is handled the same as I write these lines to you.
When I begun to write down this concept I reached a point where I'm writing 10 pages and it's not fully there yet, I changed my mind for 20 times whether the album should have a short name with a small explanation, or to "spill out" the full story behind the concept (which might certainly make some tired, and some highly thrilled with the in depth explanations). So I decided to go with a partial yet thorough explanation… the rest might be published one day in a book, should I decide to publish it one day in the future.
The next 'Orphaned Land' album will deal with the war of light and darkness. We've dealt with this topic in the past, yet this time the emphasis will be on the hero of this war – The Warrior of Light (Lohem Ha'or in Hebrew)

The album title will be:

The never ending way of
ORwarriOR"
