In Battle In Recording Mode

Sundsvall, Sweden-based death metallers IN BATTLE are currently recording their fourth album, "Kingdom of Fear," due later in the year via Candlelight / Nocturnal Art Productions. The follow-up to 2004's "Welcome to the Battlefield" will honor the memory of the group's former drummer, Otto Wiklund, who passed away last August.

Wiklund appeared on IN BATTLE's first two albums — "Lost in the Shadows Gray" (1997) and "The Rage of the Northmen" (1998) — and was also the session drummer for SETHERIAL, with whom he recorded the "Lords of the Nightrealm" album (1997).

IN BATTLE's latest album, "Welcome to the Battlefield" (2004, Cold/Metal Blade Records), was recorded at Courthouse Studio in Östersund, Sweden and at Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. The CD was mixed and mastered at Erik Rutan's (HATE ETERNAL/ex-MORBID ANGEL guitarist) Mana Recording Studios in Tampa, Florida with engineer Shawn Ohtani.
