Converge's "Jane Doe" 2xLP Announced

Deathwish Inc. (under exclusive license from Equal Vision Records) will reissue Converge's classic "Jane Doe" album on vinyl format. Available for the first time in over 6 years, this 2XLP will be packaged in a Deluxe Gatefold sleeve, and will feature a variety of vinyl color variations, appealing to collectors and audiophiles alike.

Originally released during turbulent times in September 2001, "Jane Doe" was one of the darkest, bleakest, and most punishing acts of musical emoting ever committed to tape. "Jane Doe" took Converge's musical aggression, creativity and penchant for artistic nihilism-as-therapy to unparalleled emotional depths. While unmistakably Converge in sound, it reached harsher and more emotionally draining levels of abuse, relenting on, but not entirely abandoning, technical precision to focus on emotional upheavals and an all-or-nothing buffeting.

Neverset Ready To Enter The Studio

Texas metallic-rockers NEVERSET will enter Tree Studios in Atlanta in February with producers Shawn Grove and Morgan Rose (Sevendust) to begin recording their new album. The CD will follow up the 2005 critically acclaimed “Behind Every Door”.

NEVERSET has toured in 2007 with many bands including Candebox and Sevendust, they will soon hit the road for select dates with Three Days Grace – Breaking Benjamin – Seether tour.

NEVERSET resonates a collaboration of sound from the true rock bands from the past 20 years. They maintain rhythms from the 80’s, but manage to incorporate them with a modern flare.

Lead singer Shawn Hamm says, “I don’t think there’s currently any other band like us right now. They say the real rock stars aren’t around anymore, but I disagree. We’re here to party with the fans, have fun and not worry about the cash.”

You can check out some of the band's material on their MySpace page.

"A very exciting week it's been, not only did we get to romp in the snow at Sundance, but once we got back from Utah, we had even more excitement waiting in L.A... a duet with Stephen Pearcy of RATT on a remake of 'Round And Round'.

Yes, he rules and yes he is a badass... the track was something he had had in the can for a while, but he invited us to come Donna-fy it up, Brett (Anderson) trading verse lines with him, doing the harmony and leads in the chorus, and I (guitarist Allison Robertson) did the harmonized solo section and laid down some rhythm as well.

Not only THAT, but Stephen and possibly another special guest shall be joining us onstage at the Crash Mansion show in L.A. on February 6th for a very special rendition of the tune... WHOA! Exqueeze me??? Awww yeah. All of this AND the HIVES tour comin' mid-February???... We are four lucky little lambs. Stay tuned!"
