Tenacious D Plan West Coast Tour Dates

LiveDaily.com reports: Comic-rock duo Tenacious D, consisting of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will head out on a short West Coast jaunt in February after finishing up a tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The duo will kick off their brief outing Feb. 13 in Santa Barbara, CA, followed by three shows in the Pacific Northwest as they continue to back "Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny," the soundtrack album companion to the pair's movie debut from last November.

Produced by the Dust Brothers and mixed by Ken Andrews (A Perfect Circle), the album features a guest appearance from longtime Tenacious D cohort and drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), as well as bassist John Spiker and guitarist John Konesky.

"The Pick of Destiny" soundtrack follows Tenacious D's 2001 self-titled debut, which the Dust Brothers also helmed, and on which Grohl also appeared.

Tenacious D was introduced to a national audience via its late '90s appearances on HBO.

When they toured NZ they saw 2 kids about 11 years old busking on the street and they asked them to open their show. They played All Along the Watchtower to about 3000 people haha, pretty cool.
