Alexisonfire Premiere Cover Of The Tragically Hip's "Fully Completely" From Upcoming Covers EP
Alexisonfire are honoring their Canadian roots with a new covers EP titled “Copies Of Old Masters: Volume 1.” The four-song outing will find the post-hardcore veterans putting their own spin on tracks from fellow Canadian acts, led by their rendition of The Tragically Hip’s 1992 classic “Fully Completely.”
Though the studio version has only just been unveiled, longtime fans may recall Alexisonfire performing the track live as far back as 2007. Dine Alone Records will release the EP on November 07th, with the track listing as follows:
01 – “Neighbourhood Villain” (Doughboys cover)
02 – “Cuz” (Shallow North Dakota cover)
03 – “Fully Completely” (The Tragically Hip cover)
04 – “Misogyny” (Rusty cover)
Frontman George Pettit commented:
“One of those things where you come up with the idea, you say it out loud, and then you never do it. For most people it would probably end there. Lucky for you, Alexisonfire isn’t ‘most people.’ We love fun.”
