Red Rot Reveals Debut Album Details

Italy’s Red Rot is the new extreme metal band of Luciano Lorusso Georgeand Davide Tiso, formerly of Ephal Duath, and their debut Mal de Vivre, is a relentless opus of technical beauty and bludgeoning grace.

Today Svart Records announces the second choice cut off the album, “Dysmorphia"

"'Dysmorphia' is a song about losing touch with reality and one’s appearance: it felt natural to make a video of a man trapped into his own mind. 'Body Dysmorphic Disorder' is a condition that brings an individual to experience episodes where self image is regularly altered because of trauma. The character in the video is getting ready to leave a motel room, the whole ninety seconds of the songs is pretty much a PTSD flashback of what happened the night before, a complete splitting frenzy that eventually implodes once in front of the mirror", describes Red Rot's Davide Tiso, "When I started talking with director Leonardo Candidi and actor Satya Schulberg about the project we started with Apocalypse Now and the Martin Sheen breakdown scene. The symbolism of covering one's eyes with one's hands is pictured as an attempt to hide from reality and masks one’s appearance. This is both a child like motion and an ancestral symbol of communication that we thought would embody the inner chaos and quasi break down of the story, and it’s included in a way that people would understand without even realizing it. Musically Dysmorphia summarizes what Red Rot is about: a clash of oblique riffing and pummeling force delivered with urgency and abrasiveness." More...

Parasite Inc. Debuts "Cyan Night Dreams" Video

The German Melodic Death Metal band is ready to give it all again with the release of their second single and title track of the upcoming record "Cyan Night Dreams."

After the first, very hard-sounding harbinger of the album, Parasite Inc. present themselves with the second single 'Cyan Night Dreams' in a completely new, unexpected sound garb. Already on the last output 'Dead and Alive' the synths were allowed to take a much larger space and also the clean vocals provided clearly audible in the background for the necessary pressure. This concept has now received a completely new emphasis for the new single and shows once again the versatility of the band.

The video for the song was produced in cooperation with Tillypark Studios, ties in exactly with the video for the last single "I am" and shows musically, as well as visually the other extreme of the album.

Statement from the band:
"As the centerpiece of the album, 'Cyan Night Dreams' is one of the songs whose stylistic elements have long been hidden beneath the surface of Parasite Inc. and now, for the first time, are given their own place in the sound structure. The title track shows a new approach to our songwriting and at the same time is still unmistakably Parasite Inc.

"After our first single 'I am' was the fast and furious entry into the album, 'Cyan Night Dreams' now makes it clear what musical range the listener can expect on the new disc." More...

Vocalist Jack Murray sheds light on the meaning behind the lyrics:
"We’re all at fault for the way things are. Years of turning blind eyes and pointing fingers at each other’s defects. Wondering how we got to this. Hell isn’t hot enough." More...

Invictus To Release Debut Album In September

Invictus, the new solo project led by Maurizio Iacono, today unveils a new single and video for 'Exiled'. The new track serves as the first taste of Invictus' new full-length release, "Unstoppable," set for release 23rd September via MNRK Heavy.

Well-respected as the singer of Kataklysm and Ex Deo, head of Hard Impact Artist Management, founder of Distortion Music Group, and co-owner of hard-and-heavy booking agency Continental Touring, Iacono delivers dynamic new layers of heaviness and melody with his latest creative vehicle. A Latin epithet for various Roman deities, “Invictus” translates to “unconquered” or “invincible,” a theme present throughout Iacono’s latest output.

"I’ve explored many facets of the music business, from performing, writing, and producing to managing," he explains. "But I’d never explored that deep down energy inside my thoughts which drives me to compete and, in many ways, survive everything thrown at me."

Armed For Apocalypse Reveals New Album Details

Uncompromising sludge juggernaut Armed For Apocalypse have announced their third album, "Ritual Violence," is set for release on 7th October via Candlelight Records.

Serving as a punishingly-heavy taster for their new album, the band have released first single "Full Of Phlegm," a blistering track that embodies the feeling of guilt and shame brought on by the decisions we make when we are in an intoxicated state.

The band comments on the new album: "'Ritual Violence' was written in a time where everything seemed to be hopeless. A lot of the songs on the album revolve around an overall theme of being stuck in an inescapable self destructive rabbit hole, and the struggle to break free of those habits."

Ritual Violence, which sees the band at their most aggressive and unrelenting, is both a product and expression of their never-die attitude. It’s the album Armed for Apocalypse always wanted to make, with the engineer they wanted to make it Kurt Ballou, God City (Converge, High On Fire, Every Time I Die ) and the label they wanted to partner with, Candlelight Records. Featuring guest appearances from Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) on track "Foredoomed" and Trevor Phipps (Unearth) on "Suffer For A Living," it is Armed for Apocalypse refined to its purest form: 0 percent frills,100 percent heavy riffs. Soilwork Debuts New Music Video

Soilwork continues to please their fans by releasing the second single from their upcoming album "Övergivenheten." After already delivering the title track of their new long-player some weeks ago, the Swedes now release the next single called "Nous Sommes La Guerre." This track represents the next massive piece of their highly anticipated album. which is due on August 19th.

Soilwork about the new single:
"‘Nous Sommes la Guerre’ evolved around a 'fight or flight' theme. The song is about internal struggles and confronting your own worst sides. It’s a cry for help in defeating the darkness inside of you and move towards a brighter path."

The extraordinary artwork for the new single is created by Argavilda who has a very singular view on the band's latest output.
His thoughts about "Nous Sommes La Guerre" and his interpretation of it:

"The idea is to peel the skin of the narrator to reveal the individual layers and see what makes the individual. All the scarred and murky sides being laid bare the deeper you dig. Crying golden blood because there are no more tears. It is a person's soul searching to find answers and exposing themselves to ask for help. My interpretation of the lyrics is intricately connected to being lost and realising, that you must build yourself up anew and that you cannot do it alone." More...

Mantic Ritual Shares First New Song In 13 Years

Mantic Ritual release music video for “Crusader,” the first new song from the reunited thrashers since their 2009 Nuclear Blast debut. “Crusader” was originally released earlier this year to all digital platforms, in addition to a limited 7” single backed with the group’s take on the Mercyful Fate classic “Black Funeral.” The music video, which can be seen below, was shot in the Mojave Desert by producer Randall Smith and edited by Kai Young and captures an intense performance by the band complementing the infectious balance of high-energy traditional melodicism with thrashy break-neck aggression.

"With no festivals or tours on the schedule, we felt it was really important to make a simple, performance-oriented video," explains vocalist/guitarist Dan Wetmore. "It was about getting the Mantic boys together and once again telling the dumbest jokes and being Beavis and Butthead x2, all the while making a sincerely mad clip. Filmed out near Mojave, we took our time hashing out that Pittsburgh/So-Cal vibe. ‘Crusader’ is already out, so this is a weird order of operations, but at approximately 1500 followers on instagram, you gotta ask yourself, does it matter?! Good news is, we make music cuz we’re still pissed and still metal believers. If we were in it for cash, we’d have stuck with Nuclear Blast and made that weird euro pop metal. Enjoy, my friends!" Tommy Clufetos To Help Motley Crue On Current Tour

Three years in the making, The Stadium Tour, featuring Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, officially kicked off tonight, June 16th, at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA. However, all did not go as planned.

Drummer Tommy Lee could only play the first five songs of Mötley Crüe's highly anticipated comeback performance. He was behind the kit for "Wild Side", "Shout At The Devil", "Too Fast For Love", "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" and "Saints Of Los Angeles", after which he announced to the audience that he broke four ribs two weeks earlier.

As a result, Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, The Dead Daisies) played drums for Mötley Crüe for the remainder of their set, beginning with "Live Wire". Tommy Lee did return to the stage for "Home Sweet Home".

Tommy Lee stated: "We did it! You did it. We did it. We're f*cking here. Two and a half years. Okay, well, anyway, what I've gotta tell you is about 14 days ago, I f*ckin' broke not one, not two, not three, but four f*ckin' ribs right here."

"I wish I had a f*ckin' badass story, like me and Connor McGregor f*ckin' scrapping out in some f*ckin' bar or something. But I don't."

"Anyway, I hope you guys have a f*cking great time. And my boy Tommy Clufetos back here, he's gonna help me get through this. 'Cause the doctors told me, 'No playing, bro. No playing.' And I was like, 'Are you f*cking high, bro? We've got a f*cking tour to do.' So anyway, I ain't f*ckin' sitting out for shit. My boy's gonna help me out here, and I'll see you guys later. On with the goddamn show."
