German symphonic power death metallers Kambrium are on the cusp of releasing the sophomore full length album "Dark Reveries," which drops on October 18th via 7Hard Records. Few younger bands impress more than this exciting band, defying genre boundaries by combining extreme elements with power and symphonic metal. The result is blinding brutality enveloped inside a symphonic wall of melody performed with the precision on par with metal’s most veteran acts.
"Dark Reveries" tells the tale of a man who wakes up into his own nightmares and is unable to escape. It features guest vocal appearances from Amanda Somerville (Trillium/Avantasia), Thomas Winkler (Gloryhammer/Ex-Emerald) and newcomer Melanie Mau. The album was produced and mixed by Flaming Row's Martin Schnella, who also provided background vocals and guitar work. For a review of "Dark Reveries," head on over to this location.
Metal Underground.com is proud to provide the exclusive premiere of the new track "Dark Lights," which features a guest vocal appearance from Gloryhammer vocalist Thomas Winkler (Ex-Emerald) (for a review of Gloryhammer's debut LP "Tales From the Kingdom of Fife," head over here).
Keyboardist/composer Jan Hein describes story behind the lyrics: "Dark Lights is about the person who wakes up in his own nightmare. Everything seems so unreal and he can't run away from the shadows who are hunting him." As for his choice of Thomas Winkler Hein added: "I wanted a strong characterful voice for that song. I discovered the band Gloryhammer and was blown away from Thomas' voice. I asked him to sing the song for us. We are overwhelmed by the result! Hope you guys like it too!"

Brazilian act Endrah's "The Culling" album is due in stores September 9th, 2013. Today we bring you an audio and visual taste of the album in the form of a new lyric clip for "Silver Tongue," which can be viewed below.
If you aren't familiar with the band, Endrah will let you know what to expect, stating: "Endrah comes from the heart, and the lineup includes black-belt level M.M.A. fighters. We train with U.F.C. champions, and we are diehard musicians. We are the real deal, no joke. A lot of metal and hardcore bands speak a lot of bullshit, but cannot back it up. Join our team and let's start making some progress in this world. This is not some show, this is not fake. This is real, this is blood and guts. We are trying to start a real revolution, and make real changes, not a promise never kept."
Endrah vocalist "Relentless" further comments on the "Silver Tongue" track: "Silver Tongue is an aural assault musically. The lyrics, and delivery of them are meant to grab attention. Silver Tongue is a song about the lies our leaders eloquently spit out, and what should happen to them. People are not meant to be slaves, people are meant to be free. How free do you think you are right now? Not as free as you may think. Silver Tongue relates to the revelation of who those actors really are, and how they do NOT care about you. Politicians now-a-days seem for the good, but more often than not, are power mongers, hiding behind smiles, and empty promises.
"I am tired of the games, and I know millions of people are waiting for the right moment to dethrone those not suited for the throne. A public office is meant to be filled by a public servant working for the public good. Do you feel this is true? Silver Tongue is for those that can see behind the mask to expose, and those who cannot see it, to be enlightened. The song falls in line, lyrically, and sonically with the rest of the album. Please purchase yourself a copy and come see Endrah when we tour near your city." More...
Yukon, Oklahoma prog metal outfit Cascus just released a self-titled EP, and today we're bringing you a track from the new offering. Check out "Malevolent" in the player provided below, and let us know what you think of the track in the comments section.
Independently recorded, mixed, and mastered in Oklahoma City, the band aims to incorporate fresh elements into the death metal genre.
"We worked very hard to put this together," offers guitarist and vocalist Jay Gleason. "We wanted to do proper justice to the music, give it a chance to become what we wanted it to be. Our influences are very diverse, and that definitely comes through."
The band also commented on its sound: "The founding members, Jay Gleason, Jeren Martin and Dustin Townsend, with the later addition Cameron Conyer, are the collection of four of Oklahoma's most passionate musicians who are on a mission to create a listening environment that evokes a sensory expedition. The result is a massive and arcane sound, with the power of an ancient battle and the majesty of the most distant constellations."
From the darkened depths of northern Alberta comes Until Dawn - a new outfit ready to bring the heaviness to the masses with new album "Horizon."

New Jersey's Gyre is gearing up for the release of "Second Circle," and with the official drop date impending, the band has now teamed up with us to exclusively unleash another track from the EP.
Check out the pulverizing "All Revealing Eye" in the player below. You can also pick up a digital copy of "Second Circle" when it releases July 23rd via Monolithic Records. The EP's track listing is as follows:
1. All Revealing Eye
2. Ever Devourer
3. Circle to Feed
4. I Receiving All
Gyre comments on the track: "We want to put out 'All Revealing Eye' first because we feel it really showcases the full dynamics of the band. The song moves from groove metal to rock metal to tech metal and is built with bridges along the way. The structure and build-up of the song is something we focus on all the time in this band. The song lyrics deal with the idea that our senses are filters and not receptors. Image yourself hearing all the frequencies that are buzzing around you constantly, usually imperceptible to the human ear. Image all the spectrums of color indistinguishable from the next because your eyes couldn't filter and make sense of them. Your known world would crumble into senselessness. Our senses have one purpose: to give us a better chance to survive in this world. Not to tell the whole truth of what is actually around you, but to keep you alive."

The froggy goregrinders with the greatest band name ever are at it again - Vaginal Penetration Of An Amelus With A Musty Carrot has finally released a music video! It should go without saying that this is filed under the "amazingly NSFW" column.
Check out the clip "Embryo's Orgasm" below. The band also comments on the video's story:
"The main character in the video is a paedophilic psychopath. It’s not people with long hair, piercings or tattoos who are children-fucking perverts, it’s normal and ordinary looking people."
A complete interview with the band about the video can be read here, but as a tease, here's something else the goregrinders had to say: "The filming process was actually very stimulating. I remember everyone having a boner when we did the rape scene."

Connecticut progressive extreme metal act Priapism (one of the bands featured in last years Unearthing The Connecticut Metal Scene, Pt. 2) has emerged from the vibrant New England Metal scene as one of its most proficient technical progressive death metal act. Hailing from New Haven county, the band is made up of:
Paul Marak - Vocals

The quartet isn't bound by any particular genre or style they're just dead-set on expanding their boundaries and playing the most powerful, hard-hitting music they can.
In July of 2012, label Ear One Productions released the band's debut album "Prey|Pay|Obey." The album is available at most digital retailers, like iTunes, and is streaming on Spotify. More information can be found at Ear One Productions and the band's Facebook Page.
Today, Metal Underground is proud to premiere the band's first music video for the track "Reset Or Cease."
Drummer Alani Shaperow describes the song and the video: "This video is our raw and powerful depiction of what our society/human race is made up of today when it comes to greed and power. 'Reset or Cease' is about understanding our screwed up ways and changing them for the better if possible."
The video was filmed in Norwalk CT at The Norwalk Underground. The videographer/editor is Charlie Winthal for Ear One Productions. Check it out here: More...

Now Or Never was formed in 2012 when ex-Pretty Maids guitarist Ricky Marx hooked up with drummer Fabian Ranzoni. Quickly after, they were joined by long time friends, vocalist Jo Amore (Nightmare) and former Pretty Maids bassist Kenn Jackson. The band entered into Peek Studios in Southern France with producer Pat Liotard to record the debut self-titled release.
The band's sound is an exciting convergence of hard rock and metal with a modern kick - complete with power, energy and mature songwriting. The mix of the album was finished just days ago and Metal Underground is the first to present the world with the exclusive premiere of the new track "Reach Out (For The Sky)."
Marx provided some detail on the song: "The song is about life and how you live on a daily basis, where nothing comes on a plate. You need to work it out on your own to make things happen. I wrote part of it in Denmark when I was at Kenn's place (after a 'mega liquid' night) and the rest at Jo's place while we were working on the vocal melodies. Ranzo wrote most of the lyrics on the album, and I wrote the rest, like 'Brothers' and 'Something's Missing' (song and lyrics were written in half a day at Joe's with an acoustic guitar)."
Marx also commented on the band: "The important thing in this band is that there is great cohesion and everyone is always a good mood. There are no egos, and that is very important for me. We've all been there already, recorded, played everywhere and I tell u, it is so nice to play and enjoy real friendships!"
He went on to talk about working with producer Pat Liotard: "Working with Pat was amazing, creative, nice....he is a good musician and pro. I think we managed to get something new out of Jo [Amore] and a good overall musical print. We where big during the 80's and 90's for some of us...some still now and we are so willing to give a full blast!" More...
