Me And That Man Shares Collaboration With Myrkur
Me And That Man, the blues/dark folk/Americana project from Behemoth mastermind, Adam 'Nergal' Darski, have revealed a new song, the soulful blues-rock ballad "Angel Of Light", featuring the entrancing voice of Amalie Bruun (Myrkur). The single is taken from Me And That Man's new studio album, "New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 2," set for release via Napalm Records on November 19.
Talking about "Angel Of Light", Nergal states: "Behold the 'Angel Of Light'! This song is perhaps the most sinister and dark Americana in our repertoire. Whilst we often offer a little smile and wink with our music, this is pure Luciferian splendour delivered by our very own angel, Amalie from Myrkur. It’s all yours now folks! Enjoy!"
Amalie adds: "I am excited to collaborate with Nergal on this song and video, where I play the role of a woman who's captured by the shadow. She looks for ways out and turns to the 'Angel Of Light' for guidance and comfort." More...

Unearthing the Metal Underground: Vortex of End
The blackened death metal beasts behind the corpse paint that call themselves Vortex of End have been hammering the nails into the flesh and cross since 2005. The unit has unleashed several releases since its inception, but tomorrow (on Friday, September, 24, 2021), Vortex of End will release its fourth full-length album, “Abhorrent Fervor,” via the incredibly revered black metal France-based label Osmose Productions. The savage release follows the band’s vile trajectory, but they’re instantly clear in their intent of being even more succinct, insane and brutal than they’ve been in the past. Simply put, “Abhorrent Fervor” is a maniacal display of black metal. More...
Volbeat To Release New Album In December
Volbeat will release their new studio album, "Servant Of The Mind," on December 3 via EMI Records. The new album will be available in standard/digipack CD, deluxe 2LP vinyl (with various limited-edition variants, more info below), a deluxe digital edition, plus a special box set (including 2CD digipack, 28pg booklet, bandana, and hip flask, housed in a metal box, available from the official Volbeat store). Pre-order the album here.
For "Servant Of The Mind," the band - Michael Poulsen (guitars/vocals), Jon Larsen (drums), Rob Caggiano (guitars) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) - took their signature heavy metal, psychobilly, and punk ‘n’ roll sound up a notch while showcasing Poulsen’s keen ability for songwriting and storytelling.
"I wrote the whole album in three months," recalls Poulsen, "I was in a good place and mood while at home, and had a captive audience of myself… There are a lot of Volbeat signatures in it. If you go back to the first record and compare it to where we are now, you can hear how the band has developed its style, while keeping the signature sound."
To coincide with the album announcement, the group has released the new single "Shotgun Blues," an anthemic track in which Poulsen explores the ghostly events he recently experienced upon moving into a new home. "Every time you move into a house, you bring dead people with you," he explains. "Weird stuff happens when I move into a [new] house… it's very otherworldly." Watch the lyric video below. More...
Nile Signs With Napalm Records; Announces Tour
Originally hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, international death metal legends Nile have become one of the most revered names in the worldwide heavy metal scene today, combining extreme traditional and technical death metal styles with their trademarked blend of Ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern soundscapes and historical mysticism. Now, Nile takes the next step in their acclaimed journey by signing a worldwide contract with premier rock and metal label Napalm Records.
In addition, the band is thrilled to announce a slew of new U.S. headline tour dates scheduled to take place in early 2022, kicking off what will be a banner year for Nile. Featuring support from Incantation, Sanguisugabogg and I AM, the tour will kick off on February 3 in Nashville, TN, visiting several major cities before wrapping in Spartanburg, SC on March 12.
Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday, September 24 at 10am local time. See below for all currently confirmed tour dates.

First Fragment Posts New Single Online
Quebecois tech-death masters First Fragment have unveiled new single "Solus" from their upcoming new album, "Gloire Éternelle," out 29th October 2021 via Unique Leader. You can check out the visualizer video below.
On the new single, the band comment: "Our 3rd single 'Solus' is quite different from either of the singles we have released thus far. It also draws a lot of inspiration from the 80s greats like Joey Tafolla, Cacophony, Elegy, Coroner, Apocrypha & of course Yngwie Malmsteen to further showcase a facet of our sound which we like to classify as "extreme neoclassical metal" - a rare genre where the vocals and drumming are closer to extreme metal while the non-death metal string work remains much closer to neoclassical power metal. While the previous two singles focused on swing grooves or highly complex neoclassical counterpoint fused with death metal, this song is pretty much an homage to the band's old school influences and contains less blastbeats than usual, giving more room for the dancing guitars and lead bass to express themselves. Enjoy and keep spreading the word!" More...
W.E.B. Reveals New Album "Colosseum" Details
Athens-based metal outfit W.E.B. will release their "Colosseum" full-length on November 19, 2021 via Metal Blade Records today unveiling the record‘s artwork, track listing, first single, and preorders.
Forged in 2002 out of a "necessity to scream, blast, and create emotions and get on stage to exchange them with an audience," Greece‘s W.E.B. have steadily forged a path to becoming one of the premier European symphonic extreme metal bands expressing darkness and death through adrenaline and poetry. An output that‘s both candid and theatrical, W.E.B. is here to move you, provoke you, and invite you on a journey through ravendark and starless nights. With four albums already under their collective belt, 2021‘s fifth full-length, "Colosseum," is inarguably the band‘s greatest and most direct work to date.
"We wanted this album to be as straightforward as we could make it. We wanted it to be aggressive and to the point, and at the same time we have pushed literally everything, higher, faster, louder, harder. It is our most metal album," states guitarist/vocalist Sakis Prekas. Combining the brutal with the catchy and drenching it in orchestrations that only serve to expand its epic scale, Colosseum is a thrilling, gripping listen with each of its nine tracks playing an important part in the album as a whole, making it clear that W.E.B. stands toe-to-toe with anyone in their genre.
