Only One Nevermore Ballad
During an online chat conducted on Sunday, August 25th, Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane revealed that the group's forthcoming CD, entitled Enemies Of Reality, will contain "only one ballad", because "it's time to get as heavy as possible for Nevermore." The singer also indicated that the album is tentatively due to be released in February 2003, presumably through Century Media Records, with whom the band have had a long-running dispute for several months. Milano Doesn't Care About Europe
Former S.O.D. mainman Billy Milano has reportedly abandoned plans to record a new M.O.D. album with original guitarist Tim McMurtrie and is instead utilizing the services of guitarist Joe Affe and drummer Danny Burkhardt to complete work on the album he began recording earlier in the year, entitled The Rebel You Love To Hate.
"Nuclear Blast [Records] didn't seem happy when I turned in some [rough mixes] of one of my songs, 'Wigga'," Milano told Blabbermouth, "Markus [Staiger, President of] Nuclear Blast basically told me he didn't 'get it!' I could say, 'This is my best record' and give everyone what they want to hear. But honestly, this is my best record, and when Markus told me he didn't get it and everyone I played 'Wigga' for loved it, it made me wonder. So I was going to put a record of traditional M.O.D. stuff together with Tim McMurtrie, but it seemed like more work than it was worth. In the end, I am going to finish this record, The Rebel you Love to Hate, and that's that.
"I don't give a shit if Markus gets it!!" the singer continued. "I couldn't care less if I sell one record in Germany or Europe. I am an American artist. I am going to tour and have fun in my own country. Although, you can't get Cuban cigars here like Europe, so you never know." More...
