Wicked World Signs Anata
Wicked World has announced the signing of ANATA to the label as part of a multi-album worldwide deal. Anata hail from Varberg, Sweden and have previously released two highly acclaimed albums, 'The Infernal Depths of Hatred' (1998) and 'Dreams of Death and Dismay' (2001) both through the French Seasons of Mist label. Describing themselves as progressive yet brutal Death Metal the band certainly have a technical edge to their sound that displays their musicianship to its utmost, but they also retain a high degree of darkness and devilry that marks them apart.
Wicked World's Dan Tobin added his thoughts on the signing; "Anata have everything in abundance which so many bands lack these days - the ability to simply write a good song, great musical awareness, vision, a willingness to experiment, a knowledge of Death Metal's guiding principles and an overwhelming desire to succeed. We hope this partnership can help Anata achieve the success they really do deserve."
Anata's third effort will see the light of day in mid 2003. In the meantime check out earache.com for further updates.
