Nevermore Update
An update from Warrel Dane from Nevermore who are recording their new album:
"We are currently doing pre-production demos for Enemies of Reality. I recently finished the vocals for a song called 'Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday.' This tune is turning out great with a chorus that sticks in your head like crazy. The title track and another entitled 'Abomination' are going to be the ones that all you Politics Of Ecstasy fans will love...or hate! Jeff [Loomis, guitarist] is playing some really great solos, from furiously fast and technical, to slow, brooding and beautiful...another track... 'Who Decides' is shaping up to be my favorite lyrically, but it's no secret I have a liking for depressing doom-tinged lyrics... all for now... stay metal."
They plan to enter the studio with producer Andy Sneap later this year to record Enemies Of Reality. An early 2003 release is anticipated.

Dark Funeral Vow To Carry On
Sweden's Dark Funeral have officially confirmed the departure of guitarist Dominion from the group's ranks. The following is a statement from bassist/vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula:
"It's a sad day for Dark Funeral. Dominion, our brother and long-time friend has decided to leave the band.
"The reason for his departure is that he felt it was time to move on, and try something different. The purpose of this statement is to let our fans know the truth from us first. This way people who 'like' to talk about Dark Funeral cannot start false rumors.
"The truth is: it was his decision, he didn't commit suicide, nor is he in jail for murder or church burnings. But most importantly he wasn't kicked out from Dark Funeral. Dominion has been a great friend (and still is) to all of us. It will not be easy to replace him. Dark Funeral will continue to work on new material as we work through the difficult choice of replacing our comrade.
"But this I promise: Dark Funeral will continue their fight against Christianity.
"I and Dark Funeral wish him the best of luck in the future, and hope that we will hear Dominion's great talent somewhere else. He will be missed by us all, but we WILL be back, stronger than ever.
"We came, we saw, we lived forever. Thus I have spoken, Hail Satan. -- E.M. Caligula"
