Brainstorm CD
Germany’s BRAINSTORM will be issuing their brand new studio album, entitled Metus Mortis, on October 29th via Metal Blade Records Europe. The limited first edition will be released as a digipack and will contain a bonus cut not found on the regular CD. The full track listing for the album is as follows:

Slayer's Decree: God Hates Us All
Thrash/punk/metal kings SLAYER are set to unleash their eighth studio album Tuesday, September 11 on American Recordings. Entitled God Hates Us All, the album was recorded last winter at The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, and was produced by Matt Hyde, who also produced the SLAYER track "Bloodline" for the Dracula 2000 soundtrack.

Grave Digger Tour
Germany’s GRAVE DIGGER have confirmed BRAINSTORM and TIERRA SANTA as the support acts on the group’s upcoming European headlining tour (in support of the group’s The Grave Digger CD, due through Nuclear Blast Records in October), which is set to take place in January 2002.

Entombed Update
ENTOMBED’s long-awaited brand new CD, entitled Morning Star, will receive a European release through Music For Nations Records on September 3rd. In the meantime, ENTOMBED vocalist LG Petrov will be joining Julz & Dave on TotalRock Radio's Breakfast Show on Friday, August 17th. Portrait Records Reissues
There's good new if you miss that good ol' 80's "metal":
Portrait Records, which has all but abandoned all the '80s artists it signed with hopes of jumpstarting their careers, has not left the decade behind entirely. The small division of Sony will reissue a albums from Quiet Riot - “Metal Health”, Accept - “Balls To The Wall” and Europe - “The Final Countdown” and a new “Best Of” from Britny Fox. All albums will contain bonuses in the form of unreleased, live or multimedia tracks as well as all new liner notes.
