Taproot have currently written 18 new songs and are in the process of selecting a producer for their forthcoming new album which they plan to begin recording in November. Known tentative track titles include:

- "Transparent"

- "Cum"
- "Gleam"
- "Light Of Life"
Meanwhile, band guitarist Mike DeWolf recently commented on the new material stating:
"We have about 18 songs written and still working on more. This is so important to us and we are very excited about the direction its going in. No one will be disappointed."
The album is expected out early next year through Velvet Hammer/Atlantic.
Wish You Were Listening
Incubus have posted their new single "Wish You Were Here" on their official website www.enjoyincubus.com. The track comes from the groups impending new album "Morning View", due out on October 23rd through Immortal/Epic.
'Music As A Weopon' Tour
DISTURBED, DROWNING POOL, ADEMA, STEREOMUD and SYSTEMATIC are teaming up for the Music As A Weapon tour, which is scheduled to begin on September 22nd in Denver, Colorado.

Twisted Reunion
During former TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider’s appearance at the Minnesota State Fair last weekend, Dee revealed that a strong chance exists that there will be a full-blown TWISTED SISTER reunion next year. The singer also stated that he is currently discussing the possibility of appearing in The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Broadway this January.

HELLOWEEN fans that missed the exclusive interviews with mainman Michael Weikath and former axeman Roland Grapow that aired on Cleveland’s WBWC 88.3 FM during the station’s HELLOWEEN Radio Marathon Live this past Thursday, August 23rd can download both interviews in Real Audio format from here and here.
James Hetfield Spotted
METALLICA frontman James Hetfield was reportedly spotted on Wednesday, August 15th at a Beverly Hills hotel, where he was said to be staying while undergoing treatment for alcoholism at a nearby rehabilitation center. When approached by a METALLICA fans who recognized him, the singer allegedly stated that his recovery from alcoholism is a “long hard road” and made t clear that he appreciated all the support and words of encouragement from the METALLICA fans around the world. It is presently unclear how long Hetfield’s stay in rehab will go on or when we can expect to see METALLICA resume work on their upcoming studio album, which is due out at the end of 2002 at the earliest.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN, whose hotly-anticipated album, Toxicity, will be released on American Recordings September 4, will say "thank you" to their home-town fans with a free show to be held in the heart of Hollywood at 5:00PM on Labor Day, Monday, September 3.

Slayer.net has a piece of the first song on God Hates Us All, DARKNESS OF CHRIST, today only August 28 12am EST -11:59pm EST, for your listening pleasure. You can also catch your first glimpse of a piece of the new album cover.
This is part of a 13 day campaign where, beginning Tuesday, August 28th at 12 AM EST, a new piece of the "God Hates Us All" CD cover will be exposed, and a new track will be available to listen to. If you want to hear all 13 songs from "God Hates Us All" make sure you come back every day as only one song per day will be available.
And on the 13th day the entire album cover will be revealed.

Site Update
Lots of Links and IE5.0 Bug
Just a quick site update: The links section is nearing completion and we're adding more links every day. You can look forward to more filtering and sorting options as well as a means to submit links for approval in the links database.
I've also tracked down and killed a nasty CSS bug that was making the page look like utter crap in Internet Explorer 5.0 for the PC. I am ashamed that anyone ever saw it in that state! If you ever find bugs, feel free to report them!
