Movement
According to Allstar, Canada’s KITTIE have indeed parted ways with guitarist Fallon Bowman, a rumor that began circulating last month when the group appeared at a one-off radio station concert in Albuquerque, NM with 25-year-old guitar technician/roadie Jeff Phillips assuming Bowman’s customary second-guitarist slot. No official announcement has yet been made, but sources indicate that either Phillips or fellow London, Ontario resident, 30-ish Boris Novosel will be incorporated into the group’s line-up when they make an appearance at the Beast Feast Festival in Japan on August 26th and at the Highbury Garage in London, UK on September 10th. KITTIE have been recording their sophomore album, entitled Oracle, with producer Garth (GGGarth) Richardson for the past two weeks in their hometown of London, Ontario and will move to Vancouver later in the month, where Randy Staub will reportedly be handling the LP’s mixing duties.
