No Fleshgrind @ Metalfest
Fleshgrind will not be performing at Metalfest. It was previously understood that Fleshgrind would be performing at this year's Milwaukee Metalfest.
Unfortunately, we have been bumped off this years fest due to many bands "complaining" that they cant play "but Fleshgrind can play again." Go figure, so much for "supporting the scene" like we had something to do with those bands not being able to play. Unbelievable. Anyway, we apologize to those who are in anyway inconvenienced by this. We hope to play the upcoming fests in Florida and New Jersey.
Megadeth Does Requests
It seems that soon you will be able to vote for what songs you'd like to hear at your local Megadeth concert on Megadeth.com (doesn't seem to be there yet). It sounds like a gimmicky, but pretty cool idea, so read what Mustaine has to say about it:
"We evaluated our current position and relationship with American radio and our most loyal fans. We also wanted to continue our long-standing record of innovation and 'firsts' with the Internet and the online community. So we decided to permit the local stations to feature a link to our site, which would allow their users and listeners to join fans already familiar with www.megadeth.com and participate in choosing which songs we will be performing in their city. We will provide a list of 30 or more songs for the fans to choose from. Each show will consist of 24 songs and will be fully interactive with the fans, listeners and online community."
