Mudvayne Goes Gold, Release DVD

Mudvayne's No Name/Epic debut "L.D. 50" has now gone gold in the U.S. for sales in excess of 500,000 copies. In other news, the band will be releasing both their full-length DVD "Live In Peoria" as well as the re-issue of their newly re-mastered independent debut "Kill I Oughta" on November 06th.

Rob Zombie Announces Album Title

Rob Zombie has set "The Sinister Urge" as the title to his forthcoming new album which is due out on October 30th through Geffen. Expected to show up on the album are guest appearances from Slayer guitarist Kerry King, Tommy Lee of Methods Of Mayhem, Limp Bizkit turntablist DJ Lethal, Charlie Clouser of nine inch nails and Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys.

Malmsteen Assembles 100% New Band

Yngwie Malmsteen has assembled a 100% new band, which will first be heard on the upcoming South American Tour (Sept 12 - 30, 2001). If the chemisty of this team gels, this line-up may appear on the next studio album. The new line-up and their credits are as follows:

Doogie White (Rainbow) - Vocals
Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Kiss, Alice Cooper) - Keyboards
Mick Cervino (Blackmore' s Night) - Bass
