James Hetfield Spotted

METALLICA frontman James Hetfield was reportedly spotted on Wednesday, August 15th at a Beverly Hills hotel, where he was said to be staying while undergoing treatment for alcoholism at a nearby rehabilitation center. When approached by a METALLICA fans who recognized him, the singer allegedly stated that his recovery from alcoholism is a “long hard road” and made t clear that he appreciated all the support and words of encouragement from the METALLICA fans around the world. It is presently unclear how long Hetfield’s stay in rehab will go on or when we can expect to see METALLICA resume work on their upcoming studio album, which is due out at the end of 2002 at the earliest.
