Hendrix Family Fight Over Estate

The brother of Jimi Hendrix filed suit Friday to gain what he considers his fair share of Hendrix's estate, according to Hits Daily Double. Hendrix's legacy was controlled by his father, Al Hendrix, who died in April at age 82, leaving nearly everything to his adopted daughter. In the father's will, Janie Hendrix was given control of Experience Hendrix LLC and the Hendrix estate, worth about $150 million to $240 million. His brother, Leon Hendrix, got a souvenir gold record. The suit argues the will and living trust are invalid because Al Hendrix signed them under Janie's undue influence.

"Being in Morbid Angel for the past nine years has been the greatest time of my life," said Rutan on the official Morbid Angel website. "To play in my favorite death metal band of all time has been a tremendous honor. I want to thank Trey and Pete for all the great years and all they have done for me, and all the fans who have supported me and will hopefully continue to support me in the future. One Nation Under Call it a Day

Ohio's One Nation Under, featuring ex-members of Blood Has Been Shed, have officially called it a day after several members couldn't resolve their personal problems, according to Eulogy Recordings.

"By now most of you may have heard that One Nation Under has called it quits," guitarist Rich Thurston recently stated. "After several months of trying to mend personal differences, I decided to quit the band and move on. There will be no last show, no reunion show in a year...nothing. All of the hard work and countless hours I and others have spent is gone but not wasted. I feel that we did some good during our short stay. We never forgot what got us here and why we got involved in hardcore. In this day and age of post hardcore crap that gets shoved down our throats, that was important to me... to stay real. I want to thank all of the people that supported us and made us feel welcome. Like I said, it was a short ride, but I will cherish it forever."
