Hammerfall Frontman Assaulted

HAMMERFALL frontman Joacim Cans was assaulted with a beer glass at a bar in the group's hometown of Gotheburg (a.k.a. Göteborg), Sweden on Saturday, August 10th and ended up with a cut around his right eye that required 25 stitches to close. As a result, the band have postponed the filming of the video for the track "Hearts On Fire", taken from their forthcoming Crimson Thunder opus, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, August 14th.

Twelfth Gate Sign Deal With Crash Music

TWELFTH GATE has signed a 3-album worldwide deal with Crash Music Inc (formerly Pavement Music). The band is done writing the songs for their debut album (yet
untitled) and are currently in pre-production. They will be recording and mixing the album at Studio One (Racine, WI) with producer Chris Djuricic (who produced their 2001 Demo and who has recorded/mixed albums for bands such as SOiL, November's Doom, Enforsaken, Disinter, and Michael Angelo). The album is scheduled to be released in January, 2003.

TWELFTH GATE have also announced that Travis Smith has been commissioned to do the artwork. Travis is known for his cover art for renowned metal bands such as Testament, Death, King Diamond, Iced Earth, Malevolent Creation, Nevermore, & Opeth, to name a few.
