Aghora Hard At Work in Studio

Aghora's mainman Santiago Dobles is currently recording the band's new album Formless. The band's new line-up includes new drummer Richard Komatz and new bass player Alan Goldstein (replacing Sean Reinert and Sean Malone), plus sister-vocalist Danishta Rivero. New songs are "more alive and organic" and the new album is expected this autumn on code666.

Unmoored Enter the Abyss

On August 26, Unmoored will enter the Abyss studios to record their third album. They will use the services of "famed" producer Tommy Tägtgren. The working title for the album will be . Expect a late winter release.

Manes Complete Preproduction on Vilosophe

Norway's Manes have just finished the pre-production of their new album, Vilosophe. The band will soon enter the Studio to record it properly. In the meantime you'll be able to hear a work in progress demo track titled "Redeemer" on the upcoming code666 compilation Better Undead Than Alive.

Canadian outfits The End and The Abandoned Hearts Club will be on tour for the next month as part of their "Alcohol Makes America Beautiful Tour," covering much of the U.S. and Canada. Burnt By The Sun Drummer to Play with Alec Empire

Burnt By the Sundrummer David Witte will join electronic artist Alec Empire's band for several upcoming shows, including the Fuji Rock Festival and England’s Reading and Leeds festivals. Witte states. "I'm excited to play with Alec and his band as it's an opportunity to try my hand at an entirely different style of high-impact music. It's going to be a great time and I'm thankful for the opportunity to share the stage with such a groundbreaking musician." Witte will also undertake a North American tour starting October 1st, playing drums for Japan's Melt Banana, who he previously played with on their 2001 European tour and their recent shows at the More Than Music and Victoriaville Music Festivals. "I had a blast touring with MB last year! They are one of my personal favorite bands and their style is completely fresh and unique as well as a challenge night in and night out. We really rip it up together and the upcoming North American Tour will be nothing short of explosive." Meanwhile, Burnt By The Sun will continue gigging during Witte’s downtime between dates with Empire and Melt Banana.

Anthrax Break With Sanctuary

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has confirmed to Blabbermouth.net that the band have ended their brief association with Sanctuary Records before they'd released even a single album through the label. However, the group are currently involved in negotiations with another record company and things are "working out just fine", said Ian.

Although speculation has run rampant that the release date of the band's already-completed new album We've Come For You All will be pushed back to early 2003 as a result of this most setback, the guitarist appears confident that the CD will surface in October, as previously planned. A European release through Nuclear Blast Records is expected around the same time.

In other news, Anthrax are tentatively scheduled to support Motörhead on their European tour from October 13th through November 8th. Exact dates and venues will be announced shortly.
