Theory Of Ruin
Theory Of Ruin, the San Francisco based band featuring former Nailbomb/Fudge Tunnel member Alex Newport, will release their debut album through Escape Artist Records at the end of August. It’s to be called ‘Counter-Culture Nosebleed’.

Killswitch Engage Singer Leaves For Now
Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach has temporarily left the band for personal reasons. The remaining members are currently auditioning potential replacements before resuming on the road in support of acclaimed album ‘Alive Or Just Breathing’. Leach is expected to return to the fold eventually.
Hate Those Dentists
Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta has undergone an emergency dental operation, causing the band to cancel shows in Canada. Their UK dates, which begin on June 24 at The Garage in London, will go ahead.
Halford Headlines Korean Festival
Halford have been confirmed as the headlining act at this year’s Soyorock Festival, which happens in Kyung Gi Do, Korea on August 15-18. Also booked to appear are Rage, Gamma Ray and Iron Butterfly, with more names to follow.
Get Inside Stone Sour MP3
Stone Sour, the side project featuring Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Jim Root, have posted a track for download at www.roadrun.com/music. The song in question is ‘Get Inside’, taken from their self-titled, debut album, due out in early September.

Serpent Crown Decide to Split
Chicago's Serpent Crown have disbanded. The reason for the split, according to the band, is "irreconcilable personal differences." There has been no word on what the members of the band will do in the future.
Paradise Lost To Begin Recording
Paradise Lost are currently in preproduction stage for their new studio album. T he guys will start recording on June 20th and if everything goes according to plan, the album will see the light of day sometime in October.
A Possible Godflesh DVD in the works
Former Godflesh leader Justin Broadrick is reportedly collaborating with Earache Records on a DVD spanning the band's entire career. Tentatively scheduled for release in the fall, the as-yet-unnamed collection will be in excess of two hours long and may include fan contributions. More details will be made available in the coming weeks.

San Francisco Bay Area's Dragonlord, featuring current and former members of Testament, are the latest act to have been confirmed for this year's Wacken Open Air festival, which is scheduled to take place on August 2-3 in Wacken, Germany. God Forbid Pulls Out of Tour
New Jersey metalcore outfit God Forbid pulls out of Kittie's tour with Shadows Fall to focus attention on writing the follow-up to last year's lauded Determination album.
"God Forbid unfortunately had to pull out of its mini-Midwest tour with Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage to concentrate on writing the follow-up to our debut, Determination," guitarist Doc Coyle said. Abscess Signed to Peaceville
Death metallers Abscess, featuring ex-members of Death, Autopsy and Hexx, have officially signed to Peaceville after one album on Listenable Records and two albums on Relapse Records.
Abscess' first album for Peaceville, Through the Cracks of Death, is according to drummer and death metal icon Chris Reifert, "our best yet." The line-up for Through the Cracks of Death is: Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), Danny Coralles (guitar), Clint Bower (guitar/vocals) and Joe Allen (bass).
