Wizzard Leave Gutter Records
Finnish "biker death metal" act WIZZARD have parted ways with Gutter Records after almost three years of "excellent co-operation," according to a message posted on the band's official web site. "Moreover, [WIZZARD] has re-arranged its operations so that it will remain first and foremost a studio band. Therefore all live gigs, including and especially the one on the Headbanger's Open Air in Germany on June 21st, have been cancelled. The band will now concentrate on new [writing new] material [for the band's fifth album], which they plan to record in winter 2002/2003."

Corey Taylor Goes Stone Sour
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has once again changed the name of his side project – it’s now to be called Stone Sour. Previously the band have been known as Superego and Closure. Their debut album is currently being mixed by Toby Wright for a September release on Roadrunner. Production was handled by Taylor with Tom Tatman.
Deicide Recording
Despite hints last week from mainman Glen Benton, it seems that there will be a new Deicide album. The band are, in fact, already recording. However, Benton is still planning to work with Vital Remains as well.
Minus One More UK Tour
Iceland’s Minus, who were due to tour the UK this month, have been forced to cancel their visit due to a lack of funds. They hope to have this problem resolved in time for a return during the Autumn.
Paul Dianno Publishes Book
Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’anno is to have his first book published on June 17. It’s called ‘The Beast’, and is essentially his story. For further details go to either www.pauldianno.com or www.ironmaiden.com.
Coal Chamber, Medication Postpone First Date
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the first stop of Medication's tour with Coal Chamber has been postponed. The first scheduled date of the Dark Days Tour 2002, (also featuring American Head Charge), originally set to take place on June 12th in Anaheim, will now be rescheduled.
