Blood Duster Lay Down New Tracks
Blood Duster have finished laying down the basic tracks for their new as-yet-untitled album. Guest backing vocalists on the release include Jay (28 Days) and original AC/DC vocalist Dave Evans. Much of the recording was filmed for a possible DVD release. A track from the album, ‘Atickettoride: Agangrapiststrainofthought’, will be featured on a High Voltage Records compilation that will be released shortly. Other acts on the collection include Earth, Pod People, Filth and more. In touring news the band are headlining the High Voltage 2002 metal festivals including dates at Melbourne, Australia’s Corner Hotel on July 15th, Canberra’s A.N.U. on July 19th and Sydney’s Annandale Hotel on July 20th. Dimension F3H Recording Material
Dimension F3H is currently recording their debut album, Reaping the World Winds. The album will be mixed in studio Fredman in Sweden. The studio line-up now consist of mastermind Morfeus (Limbonic Art), Stian Lindaas Kristoffersen (drums) and Nesmoth (vocals).
Blood Red Throne in Studio
Blood Red Throne is currently working in the studio to record their 2nd full-length album. The working title is Affiliated With The Suffering. Tchort and his "evil" partners in crime are planning to record 12 tracks.
Kreator, Destruction, Cepalic Carnage to Tour
Kreator, Destruction, Cephalic Carnage and December will join forces for a North American tour in the fall, it has been officially confirmed. At the present time, it appears that the trek will kick off date on September 12th and will run through mid-October. Exact dates and venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
Shadows Fall Complete New Album
Massachusetts-based quintet Shadows Fall, featuring new drummer Jason Bittner, have completed work on their third full-length album, entitled The Art Of Balance, for a September 17th release through Century Media Records. Vescera Signs with Mascot Records
Former Yngwie Malmsteen/Loudness vocalist Michael Vescera has signed a recording agreement with Holland's Mascot Records for the third Michael Vescera Project album, due later in the year. Among the musicians set to make guest appearances on the album are Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween, Masterplan), Rob Johnson (Magnitude 9), Kiko Loureiro (Angra), and Mike Chlasciak (Halford).
Grave Drummer Replaced for Euro. Tour
Legendary Swedish death metallers Grave utilized the services of Coercion drummer Pelle Ekegren during their most recent European tour after regular skinsman Jensa Paulsson was forced to stay home due to unspecified "family issues." It is not presently clear if Ekegren will joint the group on a permanent basis or if Paulsson will return for the band's touring activities in support of their forthcoming Back From The Grave CD, due in September through Century Media Records.
