The remaining dates on the European Ozzfest tour have been cancelled. This is because Ozzy/Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde is said to be suffering form ‘mental and physical exhaustion’. The dates were due to happen in Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Russia from June 8-16.
Napster Files For Bankruptcy
Oh yeah...I forgot to post this bit, so I'll just use the news from another source and credit them. Napster, the most (in)famous of the internet file sharing company, have filed for bankruptcy, virtually bringing to an end a lengthy battle with the music industry. At its height, Napster boasted 60 million users, but it has been offline since July 2001, fighting attempts by record labels to shut it down. Various deals with these companies seem to offer Napster some sort of hope for the future, but with claimed liabilities of over $100 million, it seems as if that future has disappeared.
Site Update
Progress
Just a brief site update, since I haven't had one in a while. We've been consistenly pumping out the news here over the months, but progress on the pending portions of the site (reviews, message boards, etc) have been at a standstill as I've switched jobs a couple of times in a short period of time and have had problems getting my development and live platforms to match and to do code updates. What can I say - "life sucks and then you die..." I've just got all that straightened out and am going to be tackling more development in the near future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy reading all the latest metal news here.

Necrophagia have parted ways with Phil Anselmo and have revamped their line-up with the addition of Iscariah (ex-Immortal, bass), Frediablo (Gorelord/WWurdulak, guitars), Fug (Wurdulak, guitars), and Mirai Kawashima (Sigh, keyboards). The band—completed by mainman Killjoy and drummer Wayne Fabra—will shortly begin recording their new album, The Divine Art Of Torture, for a Halloween released through Season of Mist Records.
Killjoy describes the new material as "very heavy, violent and horror-filled. It is in many ways a homage to Brazilian director Jose Mojica Marins, aka Coffin Joe. His films are extremely blasphemous and his visions directly influenced the mood for writing The Divine Art Of Torture. Necrophagia also plans to work with Mr. Marins on a video, as well as appearing on some new kult horror/gore DVDs which will be announced shortly."
