Sepultura Teams With Evetts

CoF Live Album Set for August Release
Cradle Of Filth will release a live album on August 18th. The title of the album is Live Dead For The Bait and it will be a double album that will also feature a couple of remixes and a video, plus some screen savers and skins.
Septic Flesh Update
With their album complete and tour dates set, Septic Flesh had this to say::
"The recordings of the album that will succeed Revolution DNA are finally completed. After a month imprisoned on the infamous Swedish dungeon called Fredman Studios, under the detention of Mr. Fredrik Nordstrom (sound engineer, co-producer). Without a doubt this will be the heaviest release of the band, surpassing even Mystic Places of Dawn. Sumerian Daemons is expected to be released on October this year by Hammerheart records containing the following 13 new songs: ‘Red Code Cult’, ‘Faust’, ‘Infernal Sun’, ‘Mechanical Babylon’, ‘Dark River’, ‘The Virtues Of The Beast’. The musical direction of Sumerian Daemons is the apotheosis of extremity in all forms and a praise to the dark ancient ways that still live on, disguised with the skin of the new age. The new sound is a huge wall made from brutal guitars, with nightmarish, mesmerizing melodies. You can also expect some ultra violent, fast paced songs that will make your ears bleed."
KsE Among Late Additions to Hellfest
There have been some late additions to the show, so we wanted to keep everyone informed. Most notably, Killswitch Engage will indeed be playing the event and it will be their first show with brand new vocalist, Howard Jones, formerly of Blood Has Been Shed. Look for them on Friday. Other late additions include Twelve Tribes (Saturday), The Black Dahlia Murder (Sunday), American Tragedy (Friday), A Death For Every Sin (Sunday), Endicott (Friday), and Backstabbers Inc. (Saturday).
Doors for all three days will open at 10 am sharp, with the first band playing at 11 AM. There will be a time curfew of 10 PM this year ("we are letting you out early so you can come back early"). Tickets are still available at Hellfest.com for a discounted rate. To all of you going, have fun!
Vio-lence Pull Out of Milwaukee Fest
Reunited San Francisco Bay Area thrashers Vio-lence will not be appearing at this year's Milwaukee Metalfest, according to a message posted via the band's official web site. No reason was given for the group's decision to pull out of the event.

At the moment, the group are negotiating a new record deal following their recent split with Hammerheart Records, the label that issued Havayoth's debut, His Creation Reversed.
The (Re)Route Begins
In Flames will support their forthcoming album, Reroute To Remain, on the national H82K2 tour with Slayer and Soulfly. The band will play the Furnace Fest on August 1st in Birmingham, AL before hooking up with Slayer in San Jose, CA on August 3rd. The tour will also include several off-date appearances for In Flames with bands such as Mushroomhead and God Forbid. Following the tour In Flames will embark on a short headlining tour before returning to Europe to start a tour on October 7th. Reroute To Remain will hit North America on September 3rd. The band have also begun production on a video for ‘Cloud Connected’, which they will finish up shortly before heading to America. Reroute To Remain features 14 tracks and is produced by Daniel Bergstrand. This is the first time in the band’s career that they’re not working with Fredrik Nordström. Cover art comes from Niklas Sundin.
Faust Picked as New DIssection Drummer
Former Emperor drummer Bard G. Eithun (aka Faust) has revealed that he's been chosen as the drummer for the first Dissection album since Storm of the Light's Bane.
Apparently, frontman Jon Nödtveit is planning on rehearsing for the album in spring 2003, uniting two former convicts Eithun and Nödtveit in what will be a publicity stampede, and possibly one of the most anticipated albums to come from the death metal world. Not much is known at this point.
