Osbournes Sued Over "The Osbournes"
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been sued by a producer who claims to have come up with the idea for their hit MTV show The Osbournes. Los Angeles-based producer Gary Binkow filed the suit Thursday (July 25) in Los Angeles Superior Court for breach of oral contract, breach of joint venture agreement, breach of fiduciary duty, constructive fraud, fraud/false promise, breach of implied-in-fact contract, and breach of confidence.
"In late 1998, plaintiff Gary Binkow conceived and developed the idea and concept for a real life docu-sitcom about and starring Ozzy Osbourne and his family," reads the suit, in part. "The basic premise was to focus on Ozzy's true-life story as an aging rock star who comes off the road after 30 years and has to figure out how to be a dad. The show was to feature the real life relationship between Ozzy and his wife and children."

"From now until the end of October, we will be writing all the new music," he reveals. “During November and December, I will be writing the lyrics (the story is already done). Then I will, for the first time, do demo vocals at my house, especially for Hal Patino's sake, so that he has the vocal melodies to work his bass lines in and out of. Hal's style is to follow nothing and everything at the same time. He's all over the place without ever being in the wrong place. He is definitely my personal favorite bass player."
