Reveille Pull Out of Locabazooka

Reveille (an excellent Rage Against the Machine-sounding band) have been forced to pull out of the Locobazooka tour of America, because guitarist Steve Miloszewski is suffering from glandular fever. However, Miloszewski should be well enough to go in the studio with the band shortly to record a six-track EP.

Cornell, Rage Back Again

The collaboration between Chris Cornell and Rage Against The Machine looks to be back on the agenda. The foursome had apparently finished an album earlier this year, only for the project to be scrapped. But now it looks like they have regrouped and plan not only to release the album, but also to tour. Whether they’re still called Civilian, as previously expected, remains to be seen. Too bad they cancelled on Ozzfest, as that would have been cool to see them there.

Narcissus Sign with Century Media/Abacus

Ohio's Narcissus have signed with Century Media Records/Abacus. Nothing official from Century Media has been announced, but the band was reportedly just in Los Angeles meeting with the label to discuss future plans. Although they still intend to play Furnace Fest, at this point the band is very unsure of their immediate touring schedules, as they've been forced to cancel many shows recently due to a lack of money, van troubles, and long drive times.

The heavy CD will be typical Opeth with all its ingredients, including mellow parts, while the "mellow" CD will have more laid-back material. A late 2002 or early 2003 release is expected.
