Sharon Osbourne To Undergo Surgery For Cancer

The first two Ozzfest 2002 dates, in Bristow, Virginia on July 6th, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 7th, have been postponed in order to allow Ozzy Osbourne's wife/manager Sharon Osbourne to undergo surgery for a treatable form of cancer, her publicist announced late Tuesday.

Family spokesman Lisa Vega would not identify what type of cancer Osbourne has or where the surgery would take place, other than to say she "is expected to make a full recovery," according to CNN. "I spoke with Sharon today, and she seemed to be in good spirits. The doctors are very, very positive about the outcome," Vega said.

We, of course, wish Sharon a speedy recovery, although with the horribly hot and muggy weather here (DC area) lately, I am not disappointed to have the opening dates postponed.
