Beatallica Recording Progress

Having entered the studio to record their second EP, Beatallica ("Beatles tunes, done Metallica style") reports that the new tunes are coming together nicely. Drums are done, guitars are mostly done (they'll be finished tomorrow night), and Jaymz will be adding vocals next week.

Dokaka Hums Metallica and Megadeth

This is kind of weird, but The Morning End on KNDD in Seattle interviewed Dokaka, a Japanese musican who hums each part of a song by himself. Listen to his interview here (Real Audio) and listen to his rendition of Metallica's 'Creeping Death' here (Real Audio). The end of his interview also includes a brief performance of Megadeth's 'Holy Wars'.

UPDATE: You can download this bizarre version of Creeping Death and 3 full albums worth of other, er, songs in mp3 format on his page at IUMA.

Audioslave Video Banned From MTV

Add Audioslave as group's seeing their latest video getting banned by MTV. The 'How to Live' video likely got rejected because it features frontman Chris Cornell in a high speed car chase running police cars and motorcycles off the road. Watch it in hi and lo formats.

That's a pretty weak reason to ban a video, IMO.
