Metallica's Reaction To The E-F Chord Hoax
MuchMusic aired the first known published comments from Metallica regarding the recent Unfaith hoax. Asked what he thought of the whole story, drummer Lars Ulrich smiled and answered : "I like to laugh, myself [about the situation]. You know, I thought this [hoax] was actually quite clever."
"People have been taking jabs at the band for close to 20 years. It's sort of part of being Metallica [...] This one was among the better ones I heard."
His only disappointment was that there were people who actually believed it. "But I can't tell everybody what to think."
In case you don't understand what this is all about, there was a hoax on the Internet claiming that Metallica is suing an independant Canadian band over unsanctioned usage of the E and F chords. You can read more about that in our previous story.
