Beatallica Still Recording, EP Due Late August

Beatallica are still in the studio; the guy who's doing the recording is also doing it for free, so he has to fit Beatallica into the cracks of his schedule. Vocals will be recorded at the end of July.

Lars Ulrich was interviewed for an Italian metal e-zine - here's an interesting quote:

Q: On the internet Beatallica have a huge success: do you know them?

A (Lars): Yes, and I think they are great! I listened to "The Thing That Should Not Let It Be" and "A Garage Dayz Night" and I find them great! I even proposed them to Universal as Metallica b-sides for forthcoming singles!

Q: But there’s the suspicion that Metallica hides behind Beatallica…

A (Lars): No! We don’t have their technique and enough time for such a crazy project!

So yes, Metallica have heard Beatallica and no legal actions have yet been filed. The band claims that no one has talke to them about the "b-sides" that Lars mentions, so draw your own conclusions.

The Beatallica.org web site has also been updated with some new pics and more, although the new EP of songs is not expected until late August.
