Off To Ozzfest
Well, I'm off to Ozzfest today. I hope to get there in time to see Chimaira. It's just not worth fighting the DC-beltway rush hour traffic to catch the first 2 or 3 bands... I've heard that Ozzy will be there, but I will give a full report after it's all over.
Some Major Acts Join Voodoo Festival
Marilyn Manson, Queens Of The Stone Age and Staind are among the major attractions for this year’s Voodoo Music Festival, which happens from October 31 to November 2 in New Orleans. Also among the 40 acts so far confirmed are Government Mule, A Perfect Circle, The Donnas and Cypress Hill.
Behemoth, Carnal Forge No Longer Bonded By Metal
Behemoth and Carnal Forge will no longer be part of the upcoming ‘Bonded By Metal’ tour of the UK and Europe. God Dethroned have been added to the bill, with one more act yet to be confirmed. The rest of the line-up is Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Agent Steel, Grave, Mortician, Callenish Circle and Occult. The British shows happen at Sheffield Corporation October 8, London Camden Palace 9.
Helmet To Return?
According to certain sources, Page Hamilton is to put together a new Helmet line-up. It’s expected that he’ll be working with drummer John Tempesta and guitarist Chris Traynor. Hamilton is said to be planning to record an album with this line-up, using producer Charlie Clouser.
