Cradle Of Filth Joins Type O For Tour

Cradle of Filth would be touring with Arch Enemy later this Fall, but as previously reported, Arch Enemy will be on this year's JagerMusic 2003 tour with Slayer. Due to this change, Cradle of Filth will instead be taking Type O Negative out on a full headlining tour with them.

The only confirmed venue is the Roseland Ballroom, no dates though. The two bands are also attempting to get Arch Enemy to open some shows up when they are not on the aforementioned JagerMusic tour.

Malevolent Creation Rescheduled Brazilian Tour

Malevolent Creation is gearing up for they're re-scheduled Brazilian Tour which start's in Caxias do Sul, Brazil on September 13th.The band has just returned home from Europe where they played at Wacken Open Air Festival (to over 30,000 maniacs), and headlining shows at Party San and Brutal Assault Open Air Festivals.

Upon returning from Brazil Malevolent Creation will begin pre production for the material for they're 9th full length album. Recording begins Feb 1st,and is expected to be released early summer 2004. No title has been named for the upcoming slab of murder, but a lot of material is expected to be recorded.

Velvet Revolver's Weiland Gets 3 Years Probation

Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland has been sentenced to three years probation, following his recent arrest for possession of drugs. A Pasadena Court Judge also told Weiland to undertake counselling sessions and to continue his rehab sessions.

Glassjaw Duo's Head Automatica Sign To Sire

Head Automatica, the band featuring the Glassjaw pair Daryl Palumbo (vocals) and Larry Gorman (drums) plus Dan ‘The Automator’ Nakamura, have signed to Sire Records. They’ll start work on an album shortly, with Nakamura producing.

Ozzy Cancels Another Show Due To Pneumonia

OZZY OSBOURNE has cancelled yet another headlining performance at this years OZZFEST 2003 in New York at the PNC Bank Arts Center.

Rumor has it, pneumonia is ailing the Prince of Darkness, but KoRn has taken over the headlining spot. It is currently unknown how this affects his upcoming shows. (I'm hoping he'll be back for the Bristow show...)

Memorized Guest Vocals

Singer Olaf Hayer of Luca Turilli, Dionysus and Lord Byron will be a guest vocal on the title-track of the MEMORIZED DREAMS album. His vocals will be recorded at Gate Studios from Germany and engineered by Sascha Paeth (Heavens Gate, Rhapsody, Turilli & Kamelot).

Great White Unlikely To Face Charges

Great White are now not expected to face any charges themselves, arising out of the fire at The Station Club in Providence, Rhode Island last February. The tragedy claimed the lives of 100 people, including Great White guitarist Ty Longley. However, state prosecutors are likely to push for involuntary manslaughter charges to be brought against both the club owners Jeffrey and Michael Derderian and the band’s road manager Daniel Biechele.
