Napalm Death Part 2

Napalm Death are currently recording a covers album called ‘Leaders Not Followers 2’; this is the successor to the band’s ‘Leaders Not Followers’ mini album, released in 1999. And this record will feature former Napalm bassist Jim Whiteley on a couple of tracks; he played on the second side of the band’s seminal ‘Scum’ album.

Deicide To Begin Work On 'Scarred'

Deicide are to start work on their new album later this month. Their first for the Earache label, it’s to be called ‘Scars Of The Crucifix’, and should be released before the end of 2003.

Last Tribe Recording

The Swedish neo-classic metal quartet Last Tribe is hard at work at Roastinghouse Studios in Malmo, Sweden. The recording sessions of the band’s third studio are being directed as usual by famed producer Anders “Theo” Theander (Pain of Salvation, Urban Tale, Jim Jidhed). The new cd is tentatively entitled “The Uncrowned” and will feature – among others – the following eight tracks: Otherworld, Only the Innocent, The Healer, The Chosen One, Sacrifice, Call of the Tribe, Uncrowned Queen, Full Moon. The artwork will be specially designed for this album by Niklas Sundin of Cabinfever Media (Urban Tale, Arch Enemy, Andromeda). Frontiers Records plans to release the album during November 2003.

Dream Theater Vocalist Guests On Broadway

DREAM THEATER vocalist James LaBrie will be the special guest at Berg Off-Broadway (The Music of Neil Berg), a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, on Monday, August 11 at The Lambs Theater in New York City (44th St. between Broadway & 6th Ave.). No further information is available at this time.
