BITGOTA Look To Replace Drummer
Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus have parted ways with drummer Dom Lizio. According to the band, "Dom wishes to seek other non-musical pursuits. We wish him the best in all of his endeavors. We're going to need a new drummer who can hold a blastbeat and thrash a bit, but not be a standard death metal drummer. BITGOTA seeks a new drummer who will either relocate to Florida or lives in Florida, moreover, the band will provide temporary housing if necessary. The group released previous material with Relapse Records and the Spew Records and asks potential drummers to learn all of the Relapse material off of their myspace account and either submit them playing the material on video or come to Florida for auditions. Email bitgotabooking@aol.com or go to myspace.com/bitgota for more details."
36 Crazyfists Give Updates From The Studio
36 CRAZYFISTS have posted the following updates from the studio while recording their new album:
"Portland, Oregon
8:52am
Happy Halloween All! The leaves are turning, rain is here, Football is heating up midway through the season and Hockey is in full swing. Ah, what a great time of year. Today marks the official beginning of pre-production for us. Our producer Sal Villanueva flew in last night from New Jersey so we figured wed kick this thing off with a trip to the bar for a few drinks and a little shoptalk. I got to say, Sal is definitely the man for the job. We all hit it off great and Im positive that Sal is going to pull the best out of us and knows what kind of quality record were looking to do. We have been writing hard all summer and have filtered through and trashed 2 albums worth of material. Leaving only the best of the best, we have assembled our sickest set of songs by far, that are very 36, yet a large leap forward from the last album. And with Sal on board now, I have never been so stoked to record an album. This is going to destroy. We already have click tracks that Thomas has been playing to and we got these songs fairly tight, but that is what pre-production is for we have to make these songs an air tight, impenetrable wall of molten metal. This we will accomplish. Today will consist of playing through these songs all day long and letting Sal get a feel for them as we begin to dissect and reassemble these bad boys. More to come..." Devildriver Check-In From Tour
DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara has posted the following message on the band's official website:
"Hello out there! The dates on this tour have been going amazingly well - especially Monday night's Halloween show in Detroit, which was sold out! Special thanks to the Detroit police department for hanging out with us at Harpo's and showing everyone a good time. No, seriously!
Unfortunately, we woke up the next day to a broken-down bus, forcing the whole band and crew to cram into two mini-vans for the drive out to the next show in Davenport, Iowa - which we did make, by the way!
Thanks to everyone who's been coming out to see us, and hope to see many more of you as the tour moves along - it's been a hell of a ride!"

Sharon Osbourne Talks More Trash About Dickinson
ContactMusic.com is reporting that music matriarch Sharon Osbourne is a fan of heavy rockers IRON MAIDEN despite sabotaging the band's performance at the climax of her husband Ozzy's Ozzfest tour this summer.
MAIDEN were pelted with debris by fans when Sharon allowed sound problems to wreck their set in California on August 20. The group's manager, Rod Smallwood, then lashed out at the unprofessional conduct of Sharon and her fellow Ozzfest organisers.
Despite admitting she hates Dickinson, Sharon insists she still has plenty of respect for his bandmates Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers and Nicko McBrain.
Sharon tells British gay magazine Attitude for its November 2005 issue, "The band are actually really nice guys, but the singer has a chip on his shoulder.
"The bottom line is, it's not my fault that his solo records are shit. Don't be jealous of what Ozzy does.
"He never once thanked us for the tour. People don't behave like that.
"I tell you, though. This guy got the singer with a fucking egg right in the middle of his brow — what a star!"
Scarlet To Make Live Return
Scarlet will make their first live appearance in over a year on November 5th. The show will take place at the Nanci Raygun in Richmond, VA with Cassius and This TIme It's War. Meanwhile, the group's new Ferret Music release will hit stores on 1/24/2005.
Entombed Name Album "Serpent Saints"
Sweden's Entombed have set "Serpent Saints" as the title of thier new album, due on June 6, 2006 via Threeman Recordings. The upcoming CD will be the group's first without the contributions of guitarist Uffe Cederlund, who left the band in September.
Speaking to Sweden's Close-Up magazine, ENTOMBED guitarist Alex Hellid had the following to say about the upcoming album, "Over the years we've built something, a name that is much bigger than its individual parts. Living up to that name is something we take very seriously. Of course, we feel an enormous pressure, albeit in a positive way, and a great obligation to maintain [the name] as well as live up to our own and other people's high expectations that come along with putting an ENTOMBED logo on an album."
ENTOMBED have no plans on replacing Cederlund and will continue as a four-piece, with Hellid as the sole guitarist. However, there is a possibility that former ENTOMBED drummer and current THE HELLACOPTERS frontman Nicke Andersson will contribute to the next album.
"I've just talked loosely with Alex and Peter [Stjärnwind, drummer] about it," Andersson told Close-Up. "I haven't really said anything, but they've basically asked me if I would consider being involved in one way or the other. Whether or not that's because Uffe has quit, I have no idea. . . .It's really down to having the time to do it. There are another thousand ideas I want to see through. But if it's possible, it would be a blast to do something [with ENTOMBED]."

Interview with Former Celtic Frost Guitarist
In a recent interview with Australia's Inside_Out666, Ron Marks, ( ex- CELTIC FROST, now in SUBSONIC) spoke about his time with the Legendary Swiss metallers. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:
Inside_Out666: I want to talk to you a little about your time with CELTIC FROST. What comes to mind when you look back on those experiences?
Ron Marks: "Pride! Like with any musical movement, something happens and a million bands jump on it. FROST has fared very well as time goes by. I'm really glad that the legend continues and all the rest of it, but the thing I am most proud of is that you can put a FROST CD on today and it still sounds really cool, it's still competitive and sounds fresh to me. I'm a musician to a fault and that always comes first to me. Tom [Fischer] and Martin [Ain] are geniuses when it comes to writing; I love how intelligent the lyrics are. Reed St. Mark is one of my favorite drummers on the planet. I was a lucky [son of a bitch]; I knew it was great band when I sent them my demo. I could have been in a lot of other bands that were apart of that movement that didn't fare as well as FROST. I was very fortunate that they asked me to join."More...
Sadus' New Album Featuring Testament's Chuck Billy
Veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrashers SADUS have completed work on their new album, "Out for Blood", tentatively due early next year via Holland's Mascot Records.
Commented SADUS bassist Steve DiGiorgio: "Just wanted to say that finally, our new album is fucking done! No one knows how long I've been dying to type those exact words. So here it is, new SADUS 'Out For Blood' — eleven new songs, some bonus crap and a cool behind the scenes video are all comprising the fifth album.
"Man, I know it's so cliché to say this...but this is by far our best-sounding shit... Holy crap, we're psyched for you to get some of this shyssa (scheiße)! Hopefully the wait will be worth it when you get infected from the contagious brutal aggression found through all the varying songs. Some raging bear vocals to be found on one courtesy of crazy Chuck Billy [TESTAMENT].More...

We (Isole) will focus on our new material and our second album instead."
